whoes off spring would you buy?

finances permitting:

Officer
Vindication
Mineshaft
Empiremaker
Point Given
AP Indy
Strom Cat (may be)
Forestry
Gaints Causeway.

Cajungator26 01-17-2007 03:34 PM

Honestly, it depends on the mare. I am one that looks for correct foals (not crooked), but it depends on the dam... a lot of Storm Cat's are crooked, but if you have a correct mare, the foal might take on the dam's strengths.

brianwspencer 01-17-2007 03:37 PM

i would like one from mineshaft, if money were no object. out of sheer love for the horse, i'd also like one from aldeberan.

GPK 01-17-2007 03:38 PM

Id like one from Smart Strike, out of the Theatrical mare Belva

estreetposse 01-17-2007 03:40 PM

Dynaformer
Langfuhr
Kingmambo

gotta love the grass:)

Off the top of my head, it sounds like a good mating -- though it'd probably be the type that you'd want to safegaurd with a bunch of show bets....seems sort of like the type of pedigree that would lead to a bunch of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes....especially when it really counted.

:p

Officer and AP Indy

Sightseek 01-17-2007 05:07 PM

Practical? Probably a Dixie Union

Dream? Empire Maker - Sightseek, the sale topping Kingmambo colt, More Than Ready - Intercontinental (this union hasn't really happened, but it would be a great match)

I would take a Giants Causeway offspring. Put him on turf. Win the race by 8lengths and sell him to the the Sheikhs for millions.

I's LOVE an Empire Maker foal, his dam is an awesome producer, I would love a filly!

Under 15,000

I'll roll the dice with Congaree and Candy Ride

randallscott35 01-17-2007 05:56 PM

Ooooh Candy Ride. Could be interesting.

Holland Hacker 01-17-2007 07:17 PM

Assuming $ was not an object I would buy horses sired by the following:

Lemon Drop Kid

AP Indy

Sky Mesa

Smart Strike

Giant's Causeway

I would NOT buy anything from Storm Cat. I think he is by FAR the most overrated sire in the world . He is throwing off a lot of over priced horses that are not built to last and or go the distance. He was a great marketing ploy created by W.T. Young and Lukas. But that is just my opinion and I know I'll probably take some crap for it.
