LT

My new favorite NFL player after ALL of the Chicago Bears.

Awesome that he tried to defend his field and called out Belchick

Turn on ESPNews, he calls out Belchick about being classless...it is awesome

Hickory Hill Hoff 01-15-2007 07:31 AM

He'll get no argument for me there. I thought Belicheck was a scumbag for the way he treated Mangini this year. And from everything I have read and heard they say LT is a real nice guy so he must've really been pissed.

I'm so sick of Belicheck and this whole New England thing.
The greatest football team ever??? They couldn't hold a candle to the Steelers of the 70's or 49ers of the 80's.
He's a good coach, but everyone who plays under Parcells they dubbed "great". He does have one thing in common with him, they can be both a-holes. I wished the Jets had beat them and I hope the Dolts will, but unfortunately the "super" team has got their number.

Danzig 01-15-2007 07:43 AM

sick of the patriots and hearing about the 'great' tom brady. i can't believe he's even been compared to joe montana. i mean, come on...joe montana??

i have to go find what happened, as i missed it.

hate to say it, but i think the pats beat the colts. not that i like the colts much either.
whether saints or bears, i'll be pulling for the nfc team.

only saving grace if the colts win out--joe addai will have a ring, and i'd like to see him do well. shame he's with indy tho.

Hickory Hill Hoff 01-15-2007 08:04 AM

Two weeks of either Manning hype or Pats hype is too much for me!!!
Go NFC!!!

and the colts offense--field goals only the other day?! not something i'd want to see if i was a colts fan.

The Patriots were also doing stuff during the game as LT stated it was not just after the game. The Pats got a 15 yard penalty out of it also. The bully stuff is not new so San Diego should have handled it during the game. They clearly got under some of the Chargers skin. I got no love for Merriman, but I really do like LT. This is what a team will do when the other team is actually better. Find an advantage.

What happened after the game, they have a replay of it on ESPN. I dont like it, but I dont like Merriman either. He is another great player trying to get a drug advantage. And the Pats pretty much shut him down which I found, even though I did not have a dog in this fight, justice in.

Suffolk Shippers 01-15-2007 10:39 AM

Patriots thought they were disrespected leading up to the game, so they danced on the lightning bolt at the fifty yard line...so again where is this being classless? Hard fought game, which no expected them to win, and they pull it out and they cant get rowdy?

I got a lot respect for LT and his game, because he is the best in ages, but he needs to shut his mouth. Win the game next time LT, and that stuff won't happen. You and your team laid an egg (as you typically do), win that game and prove your team's worth and that won't happen.

Coach Pants 01-15-2007 10:44 AM

Where were the pats fans on this board until now?

Come on Indy, beat these god damn Pats.

A pass for throwing up in his eyes so he could not see the game?

Must have been totally blottoed. LT laid and egg... holy schneikes. Hallucinations can bring comfort on the right occassion.

Buffymommy 01-15-2007 12:21 PM

It isn't like New England is going to make it ot the Super Bowl anyway. Don't know what they are cheering about. Going to go home after they get their asses handed to them next week.

Danzig 01-15-2007 12:41 PM

not LT's fault. coaches fault. didn't give the ball to LT two times in a row the entire second half.
good old marty. he'll get your team TO the playoffs. can't win once he's there....but he'll get your hopes up!

stevepopyak 01-15-2007 01:40 PM

LT should be more ticked off about the stupid penalties (head butt, celebration, etc...) and why the coaches blew a critical time out on the interception and subsequent fumble play that had no chance to be reversed ... didn't get to see the NE celebration thing yet, but had the Chargers taken care of business on the field and in the coaching aspect of things, the Pats wouldn't have been celebrating a victory.

You can just never rest easy until the Patriots are eliminated .... this is coming from a Steeler fan who has seen it first hand over the last few years.

That being said ... go Bears.

Yeah, my bad, I mis spoke. Clearly, LT did not lay an egg, but I stand by the fact his team and his coach did lay eggs. For that, he should be more upset with people like Drayton Florence who head butt people on 4th down to give the opposition a first down or Schottenheimer, who again had no banner day.

But, like I said, win the game LT, and none of this would happen.

packerbacker7964 01-15-2007 02:09 PM

The INT F-u-m-b-l-e cost them the game. Also go out in the off season and get a better kicker. How many games is Keading going to cost before they cut him loose? Marty always comes up empty handed during the playoffs. Get an offense genis with playoff time and go win the big one. Also Rivers is still young so he can only get better with time.

Must have missed my post last week in another thread:

-SD's defense is stout. Pats will be hard pressed to make hay. However, SD and NE play the same 3-4 with speed rushers. So did the now departed NY Jets. Pats will throw a few wrinkles, but Brady will make his plays.

-Sidelines. Belichick vs Schottenheimer. Like asking if you want a blow job or a kick in the balls. The choice is obvious.

New England 26, San Diego 20

Wow, looks like I was close to on point...

You were way off point into predicting how SD would lose. Rivers didn't cost them the game. In fact, he had a good game for a first year starter. Obviously dumb penalties and dropped passes cost the Chargers the game.

The interception then fumble on 4th down was perhaps one of the biggest choke jobs in the history of the NFL playoffs. At that point anyone with an elementary understanding of football knew the game was over.

Congrats on the Pats winning, but they didn't look the least bit impressive and the game was one of the few examples of why parity sometimes isn't a good thing.

On the first series on D, the Chargers dropped a sure interception also which would have led to 3 or 7 points. They made numerous errors and did not deserve to win even though they were the better team imo.

if LT thinks the pats are classless for doin a dance after a win. then merriman is classless because does it after a big hit or sack. personally i'm SICK of seeing this crap ! so what you did your job! now get up and make another freaking play!

if LT wants to be mad at anyone , be mad at your own team-mates ! those bone heads on the defense pissed the game away with STUPID penalties and a fumble. let's add to that how many balls did parker and jackson drop?

i'm a steelers fan, so i have no dog in these fights but i've yet to see a decent game. all the play has been poor and the nfc, what a joke! the saints are a nice story and i'd like to see them in the super bowl but the pats will blow out whoever wins the nfc. the colts will choke like usually. they've barely servived to this point.

timmgirvan 01-15-2007 09:36 PM

Plenty of blame to go around!

horseofcourse 01-16-2007 06:02 AM

another sad athlete playing the "respect" card. Hilarious. That drug addled punk playing lb for you deserves to be made fun of. Win the game on your home field if you want respect LT. Until you actually win a big game, your team deserves and will get zero respect. Merriman deserves absolutely zero respect and deserves every piece of ridicule thrown at him by whomever. HE is a clown of the highest order. The quality of play is so pathetically poor in the NFL it is disgusting that one of these teams will actually win a Super Bowl. Your team played a ridiculously poor game LT...think about that rather than lack of "respect". By the way...tell your coach on 4th and 11 to kick a 47 yard field goal which is actually in Kaeding's range rather than going for it!! OF course NE is playing the steroid juiced punter Sauerbraun!! Awesome league there isn't it!! I say just award the title to the team whose offensive lineman have the most colorful and numerous tattoos with most area covered. THat would be better than actually playing these hideously played games.

(just kidding!! I am praying for two well-played games on Sunday however...there has been in my opinion mainly poor play on display this postseason...could just be my age kicking in as I reflect on the "olden" days and great football. It was probably poor back in the 70s, 80s and 90s as well.)
