Tonight it's the Irish
Take ND +8 against LSU and for more Irish take the hoops -9 against Louisville

I hate ND but they should cover tonight, doubt they win though |
Tom - i'll stick to the NBA then
but - ND vs Louisville - big time game tonight - watch the irish tonight |
joking guy....I didn't even know about that game, start of the big east....
I have future money on three teams, Kansas, Georgetown, and Louisville. I don't think Louisville is going to make the tourney but the other two I have at great odds, bet it in October at Ballys |
L S U in New Orleans... and ONLY giving 8 points ? Sounds like the bookies want all the ND $ ?
|
I'll take the 8 and run with it. Brady (soon to be a Raider) Quinn will run for his life tonight. LSU 31 Irish 20
|
Go Irish!!!!!!!!
Down 7 at the half, and nobody gave the IRISH a chance.
GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I will say that the best one that i have heard so far is "they just werent themselves". A classic rivaled only by "if it were in ann arbor" which is the equivalent to "he didnt like the track". |

|
Notre Lame is overrated... AS ALWAYS.
|
I didn't realize that they have now lost 9 bowl games in a row.Has to be a record.
|
It's a shame teams like Auburn, Wisconsin, and West Virginia got the shaft in the BCS due to the media darlings beating the service academies this year. Oh well i'll take the $$$.
|
There are no words to how excited I am! WHOOHOO!!! GEAUX TIGAHS!!! :D
|
Jamarcus Russell is a wonderful talent. But my God... he can't form a literate sentence.

Good story for LSU! I'm liking Miles approach. Too much speed for the Irish...on both sides of the ball. Russell has the strongest arm I've ever seen....be interesting to see if he comes back!

If the game was in South Bend, Notre Dame would have won, LOL!
Its always a good day when Notre Dame embarasses themselves on National TV. They clearly didnt belong in that bowl game. |

Yes, that was an butt kicking last night. It pretty much was a disgrace. Wisconsin should have been in that game and not ND. In order for Notre Dame to automatically be in a BCS game, ND must finish in the top 8 of the final BCS standings. This provision is how ND got into the sugar bowl--source is from the BCS web site.
7. If any slots remain unfilled after the placement of all teams qualifying for an automatic berth, then the bowls shall choose their participants from the "pool of eligible teams" (see below.) If berths are available after the automatic qualifiers have been identified, then the bowls shall select at-large participants from the "pool of eligible teams," which shall include any Division I-A team that is bowl-eligible and meets the following requirements: A. Has won at least nine regular-season games, not including exempted games, and B. Is among the top 14 teams in the final BCS Standings Basically, the Sugar Bowl said hmmm......Notre Dame sells tickets and buys crap so we will choose them over Wisconsin. It is a bunch of crap. |

That left WVU and Rutgers as two possibilities, and of course, the hype machine took Notre Dame. What a bunch of BS. Notre Dame would have finished 4th in the Big East this year. I read on the Foxsports website someone wrote "well if ND's opponents had the same academic standards as we do they would have just as tough a time"... no offense to ND, as I think it is fine academic institution, but why don't we compare Notre Dame to it's opponents on difficulty of admissions: Georgia Tech: equal. Penn State: equal. Michigan: Michigan. Michigan State: Notre Dame. Purdue: close, but I'll say Notre Dame. Stanford: Stanford. UCLA: UCLA. Navy: Navy. UNC: probably UNC, but I'll say equal. Air Force: don't know. Army: Army. USC: equal Don't put yourself on a pedestal unless you expect to get knocked down. |

Notre Dame
I guess now we could call Notre Dame an even bigger bowl loser or all time bowl game loser. Maybe if they had played ARMY, NAVY, or AIR FORCE they would have won. Some observations from the game:
SAMARDZIJA- Loved your behavior last night, great way to represent the team and university. Lucky he didn't get his rear end kicked in. QUINN-Nice way to end a career for a Heisman wannabe. Still cant perform when he plays against a real team. WEISS-Nice call on that 4TH and less than a yard in your own territory in the beginning of the game. This proves the theory of why his team can't win against a top ten team, let allow getting thier @sses handed to them in thier yearly bowl game or is it massacre? Another reason why he is OVERHYPED as a coach. Big difference in being an assistant in the NFL and a head coach in college. Hope you read this all you leprechaun fans. Just proves every year that they are OVERATED and OVER-HYPED. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!! GIMME SOME SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
i hope the refs from last nights game never work a game again. it was horrible.
great, great game last night. i had to force myself to turn it off, got four hours sleep at most. but worth every moment!! loved hearing the fans yelling one more year at jamarcus. i don't think he'll be back tho. congrats to les miles and co!!! |

Make no mistake about it. When there is a two point line shift toward the favorite and the favorite covers, the house gets murdered. Smart money was all over this one and the books did indeed got killed. |
