Welcome Former 'Guests', Now DTers

Just a welcome to the former lurker-guests who have now registered as Derby Trailers.. We weren't looking to force people to register, but it just seemed like it will be more fun for those that were visiting regularly to be a part of things here...

You are heartily encouraged to introduce yourselves, talk about your racing-interest background, and whatever else that comes to mind..

The Paddock is a general race talk gather spot..

The Selections Room is like an Internet ATM as you probably know..

Off Topic Fun at the bottom of the main page..

International.. Trip Notes.. "Other Racing".. all self explanatory..

The Chas. Hatton Room contains archived classic threads..

Ask anyone whatever you need to know.. Feel confident that you will be well received. Our goal is to foster racing fans and grow the popularity of the game.

Thanks for signing on..

Steve

well I guess that I will be one of the first to introduce myself....
My name is Brandan and I am 19...
My favorite tracks to bet on are Woodbine, Turfway, Colonial Downs
I DO NOT bet Calder
I was at Saratoga last year for the first time and love it
I got hooked on racing because of my father
One of my biggest hits was Pleasant Home last year in the Breeders Cup

blackthroatedwind 12-30-2006 11:03 PM

My Dad brought me to racing as well.

Colonial Downs - you will have a new friend in T3B, whose real name is GPK. We need to wiggle Arlington into that fray. I also nailed Pleasant Home, that was a great day in the Bellagio Sportsbook.

Welcome

My father thinks gambling is stupid... yet he invests in the stock market :p

I got into the races when I was looking for something to do one weekend and saw that Bay Meadows was open... asked a friend to go and I've been addicted ever since. I never would have imagined when I started that I'd understand what all the small numbers and letters in the Form mean, or that I'd have several on-line accounts and watch TVG religiously... I never knew it could be this good! :D

that's funny MY father thinks horses are stupid...he grew up on a cattle ranch and the first thing he did when he turned 18 was enlist in the army to get away from the farm....he's probably not entirely pleased that his daughter went back.;)

Welcome everyone.

And my father got me into the sport as well. Sometimes that man could drive a Saint to drink, but I am thankful for him allowing my passion to grow.

litlady02 12-31-2006 01:00 PM

Hi, I'm Heather. I've followed this board for awhile now, but don't really bet, so mostly I just lurk. Thanks for the warm welcome and Happy New Years.

Hi. I've been on and off of here. Tired of the forum I use to post on, maybe i'll try here.

I like hcp contests, so I guess i'll check that section out.

I live in so cal, and Santa Anita is my favorite track. I love Clocker's Corner! :D

Danzig 01-01-2007 09:51 AM

One month lurker, first time poster. This is a great site. Just to let you know, I invested $40 last year, all on $.10 supers, and I won over $32,000. I only play west coast, midwest, southeast and Puerto Rican tracks, and none of my plays are documented anywhere. You'll just have to take my word. Happy New Year to everyone. Let's all make money in 2007.

Welcome Foufa.. (Foufa's Warrior fan I imagine?)

U S RANGER 01-01-2007 05:48 PM

Thanks Kasept. I am an Arizona State alum, thus the Fuofa is a slight jab at our rival to the south.

My Miss Storm Cat! Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been reading you here for a while and I don't know what the international horses would do without you. (On all forums) Thanks for keeping everyone, including myself, updated on those guys. You have nearly singlehandedly brought them to the forefront on these forums.

First Flame accidently registered under another name here and is in the process of hopefully getting that changed. He'll be posting before long. Thanks for asking!

Happy New Year to you!!!

Hi Steve,

Flame has already written an email to you requesting a change. If he needs to make the request to another address, please advise. The address he wrote to was provided in the board guidelines.

Thanks so much for your help.

Is there some membership promo going on??

I remember commenting about a week ago when we hit 500 active memebers.

It now over 600 and the counter just keeps on spinning.

Isn't it the new requirement that one has to be registered in order to read here?

I see at the moment active members are 705.

steve changed the administrative options so that people can't read any threads unless they are registered and signed in...prompted all the lurkers to join:)
