Grossman done

Grossman has fallen from being an NFC offensive player of the month to looking uncomfortable while making questionable decisions. And, apparently, his play is perplexing him as well.

"I just am so confused why I do some of the things I do," Grossman told the newspaper. "It just doesn't make any sense to me. It's not a matter of confidence. It's more of, what is making me do these things?"

This was just in the ESPN article. When you are saying those types of things, even a 5 TD game with zero INT's or fumbles won't get you right in the head.

Greise will start the 2nd half this week unless Rex gets his act together....

wow...you start doubting yourself like that...you are DONE. Even if you do have those thoughts...you sure as hell don't make them know...especially to the media.

Your right Tom...kid has no shot the rest of the year.

That is the most terrifying thing I have heard all season. The last thing I want my team's quarterback saying is that he doesn't know why he's doing things.

Bodes very well for our chances in the playoffs

It is just signaling that Greise is coming in. The D is SO SERIOUS, he is just going to be asked to get 14 on the board and let the D take care of the rest

Scav: don't think Lovie has said anything to Griese. I heard he told Grossman to 'pick it up" tho.

Scav 12-09-2006 06:34 PM

Greise took half the snaps this week in practice, according to the Sun Times

i really wish this had been happening like three weeks ago, instead of just a few weeks before the playoffs.

Scav 12-09-2006 07:10 PM

plenty of time, if Griese starts to play 2nd half against the Rams he has four full games to play, thus he will be hitting full stride right when the playoffs start, AND if Griese goes down, Grossman will have something to prove and come back smarter. Grossman has had it too easy, just had the job handed to him, I should state it he has had it too easily mentally, and thus why he is a mental case now

EpBurns 12-11-2006 02:03 PM

Bears= 1 and done in the playoffs just like last year

hoovesupsideyourhead 12-11-2006 02:30 PM

il take that bet ep..say a c note..

uscrules 12-11-2006 02:59 PM

Thats a good bet for Hoovesupsideyourhead because Bears will be favorites no matter who they play. they are guarnteed a bye and have pretty much solidified home field throughout. If EP Burns wants to bet anything, it would be foolish for him not to bet with the spread, as Bears will surely be given anywhere between 5 and 15 points depending on which team wins in the wildcard round.

i dont follow the nfc as much, but i would be very surprised if da bears as chi people say, dont reach at least the championship game.

Stay with the one who got you there...for better or worst!

CHANGING Q-B'S NEAR PLAYOFFS = DISASTER

Grossman should "right the ship" tonight vs. the Rams...he better cuz
the SAINTS are marching in! The "D" can't win all the games for ya! ;)

If the BEARS can't beat the "lowly" RAMS tonight...they don't deserve the top seed. They won't win on the road with Grossman in the playoffs.

ArlJim78 12-11-2006 07:02 PM

that don't sound good for "DA BAIRSE"

hoovesupsideyourhead 12-11-2006 07:06 PM

brianwspencer 12-11-2006 09:39 PM

well, good Rex showed up tonight so far -- I've missed him terribly.

I love the stat about how he's singehandedly turned the ball over more than most teams!

If he could just play like this.....

uscrules 12-21-2006 07:28 PM

rex is a god guy, i met him this summer for the first time. my former boss coched him in high school. he sends us fancy chocolates and customized doormats.

Scav 12-31-2006 08:38 PM

He is real good. His head is REALLY in this game. Bears fans are SO hammered right now, expect casualities

saucon17 12-31-2006 08:39 PM

Another stellar first half for Rex Grossman with 3 int and nice QB
rating of big zero's (he should be given a negative QB rating).
Lovie please put in Griese. They are going nowwhere
in playoffs with Rex at the helm.

Danzig 12-31-2006 08:40 PM

favre looks good-his play tonite almost makes you wonder why they keep talking about him retiring.

I wish he stays around another year just got to
love his determination. Rex can just dream about
a career like Favre

If he were to put in Griese, he would have to start in the playoffs, not going to happen. Grossman will be in start of the 2nd half and play the whole 3rd, and hopefully get his head in the game, and then Griese will play the 4th quarter

GPK 12-31-2006 08:46 PM

F that game....this show about Mt. Everest on Discovery is better than that crap you guys are watching:D

Why even start Rex in this meaningless game. They should have
done what the Eagles did put in their back up QB so he
doesn't have a chance to get hurt. You know tomorrow the
sports media in the Windy City are going to pound the Sh*T
out of Rex after this performance. This is bad coaching move
by Lovie

Scav 12-31-2006 09:16 PM

The worst two weeks of my life is about to begin about how GOOD Griese is, and how bad Grossman is...BLAH BLAH

GPK 12-31-2006 09:21 PM

wait....I just turned the game on.....is that right??? 23-0????

BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:D

GPK 12-31-2006 09:25 PM

Tom, in all fairness...you called this weeks ago. Anytime Rex was saying the things he was, regarding his confidence, etc...you had to see the writing on the wall there..
