Sorry for these problems.. War Emblem PM'd me that we are better off with a VPS package (Virtual Personal Server) than the Shared Server we're with now. He explained that shared servers don't do a great job supporting Forums.

I sent in a service ticket and the Server people responded immediately that they would have Support contact me tomorrow. I'll have it fixed with 72 hours.

Gotta tell this....

Saturday night/Sunday morning I was at Caeser's Palace and I was up most of the night, caught a HORRIBLE stretch of cards, that along with sleep deprivation caused the tension level to be at an all time high.

So I go into the bathroom and take a seat in a stall, count my cash, get an overall picture of how bad it was. Nickelback was playing over the intercom, song ended about 10 seconds after I sat down. next song was "HERE COMES Santa Claus"

I seriously almost went into a psychotic fit in a stall, needed a straight jacket.

it wouldn't be bad if you didn't have to hear it for six weeks in every store and on every station and every TV show.

If someone were to investigate it thoroughly i'm sure they would find that most of the time when some flips out, goes nuts, flies into a rampage, etc, the cause can be traced back to that person having heard one too many Christmas songs.

And a special thanks to the azzhole who stole my credit card number off the internet and ruined my bank account. As if I wasn't broke enough already!

Christmas music is just horrible.
Audioslave could play "here comes santa claus" and Id still hate it.

I had that happen two years ago...a complete nightmare:( The fraud department called me and informed me that I had $16 dollars left in my account (started with over 2K)...@ least they caught it though so I wasn't responsible for the charges...guess they understood that I wasn't likely to blow my entire checking account @ Wal mart and footlocker (guy spent like $600 on new sneakers)...Hope it works out for you Phil...

Ugh...don't even get me stated on Sirius....so upset with them and the fcc at the moment.

For about 12 dollars a month, lots of people enjoy mostly commercial free Sirius satellite radio. In addition to satellites, Sirius uses land based repeater transmitters to provide the signal in areas where reception is blocked by buildings and hills.

Since October, Keith McCracken is among the many people who contacted us .saying they can't listen to Sirius indoors on a portable unit anymore. Keith's office is on the sixth floor.
Keith McCracken/East Pennsboro, "If you had a window on that side of the building, that you could face it out, .you could get the antenna out there. You can probably listen to it then. But other than that you need the repeater to work or you're not going to get any signal at all."

THe FCC made Sirius shut down all of its Pennsylvania repeaters in October because of a licensing problem. Sirius and the FCC are not saying when the problem may be worked out. So, if you're planning Sirius as a holiday gift for someone who listens indoors, instead of a car, keep that in mind. A forty dollar sirius antenna extension is available that may help. You can extend the antenna fifty feet.

We are not receiving any complaints from subscribers of XM satellite radio. XM has many more land-based repeaters than Sirius, and apparently, there is no licensing problem with the XM repeaters.

See? You neo-cons can't even tell good music when you hear it.... I'm sorry; I can't even type that with a straight face. I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one who doesn't think Nickelback or Hinder are any good, Repent. Or any different, for that matter.

to be honest I'm not happy with them either...I sent my unit back because it stopped working after 6 months...it was still under warranty so they sent me a new one no problem...BUT between last year and this year the FCC has cracked down on them regarding the strength of the signal the unit uses...meaning it must accept interference from all other radio signals...it can no longer 'override' signals on the radion etc...so now the f'ing thing is fuzzy and fades in and out all the time, and if i am stuck behind any truck with a CB radio it doesn't work...and I can no longer leave the unit in my car and pick up the signal on the radio in the barn...it really su cks.:( this happened to anyone else?

Yes, I was having the exact same problems (I have an S50) then they shut down the repeater and I got really pissed. I mean the line into my parking garage can be bad, and at that point I need to switch it off ever since Oct. 17 or so also no signal under overpasses.

thanks...i don't have an s50 I have the starmate so it has to use the external antenna but I think I'll send them a little love letter anyway;)

isnt it just stupid how these "radio bands" all sound the same?
and someone out there is just buying it up.

i cant tell the difference btwn hinder, nickelback, and 3 doors down for that matter.

Im not a musician, but I spend time with musicians and they can all replicate that sound so easily b/c its just simply written.


makes you really appreciate what Nirvana started back in the 1990's and what bands like Pearl Jam and Audioslave continue to this day.

dont know what kind of music you are in to,
but you should check out Pearl Jam's lastest album.
its a throwback to some of the stuff they were doing in the 1990's.
maybe not like TEN,
but a similar sound to what they put out on Vitalogy.
hard to believe those guys have been going at it for 15 years now.
