What Happened To This Forum?
Where is everyone? Where did everyone go? It used to be so full of people talking horses and racing, and it just died.:zz: I miss you all. Please come back.

Obviously Twitter changed the horsey talk landscape tremendously, but I know a number of people have trouble accessing the site because the certificate is way out of date and they get a warning trying to get on. My webdev guy left the business several years ago and I have no way to update a lot of the back end infrastructure. That's why I've warned that an end-of-life crash will come at some point and I won't be able to recover the site.
The ATR.com managers couldn't integrate DT into there, so I expect to add a message board to it when we're done here. Even though there isn't the chatting that went on for a long time, I use DT to record the show lineups, note topics I cover on the air and format my analysis and am happy that long time DTers still enjoy visiting. |
Im still here....enjoy the posts that do come and Like Steve stated....it could crash and burn any day.:zz:

I’m around and hope to give some updates from the Tampa trip next week

Still around. I always thought it was a few posters that would end up running most people away. Nobody wants to hear that they are a moron or stupid for all of their racing takes. I think it's great to get on and analyze races, before and after but it doesn't seem like many people want to do that anymore.

I started posting on the ESPN Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies boards probably early 2000s then switched over to a now-defunct message board called sports-boards. Steve posted on the Eagles board but must have mentioned derbytrail and I ended up over here. |

As for having trouble accessing the website, I did get warning messages for a while, but I started accessing DT through ATR and I wouldn't get the warning messages and now I don't get them at all no matter how I try to access. I hope that DT doesn't implode at some point. |

And very glad to hear the certificate issue isn't causing problems. |

Anything worth doing is difficult. When I was young, and still thought I knew everything, I constantly annoyed serious and experienced players, and they were hardly kind in concealing their annoyance. I'm grateful for their abuse, because I didn't go home, cry, and walk away from the game. I studied more, worked harder, and improved my opinion. Years later, I was no longer the least knowledgeable person in the conversation, and years after that I because a part of the conversation. Nobody ever really got anywhere worth getting by passive aggressively pointing fingers at others. |
Hey I know, we should all go in and by a horse!
Morty. Beulah Chuck Steve B It's been a great run and still enjoy it. Learned a lot!! Thanks Stevo! |

I remember those contests. I finished “in the money” for one of them. I think I won an Eagles blanket? It was a long time ago, I can’t remember. |

Mostly a lurker here but I did just want to let Steve know that his hard work on the forum, specifically with the Weekend Beyer stuff, probables etc does not go unappreciated. Thank you!

I still come on to see Steve’s selections on big racing days and of course Saratoga. Always enjoy following the lead up to the triple crown. There were some characters on here over the years and of course some of the debates were always fun to read. The forum has stood the test of time. I’m glad I’ve been able to be part of it.
