A tough choice between OP and GP....weather is good for both....

Let's start with race 4 at GP.

Would you consider adding on the Arkansas Derby and making it 12 races?

I'll leave that up to the scorekeepers to approve.

Thanks RQ and you too IH, if you decide to add it. It may be the Baffert show, but it is a prep for the KD so I think deserves our attention. With that said, I am a shameless promoter of my hometown track. :rolleyes::D. And with that said, I don't think that gives me any special advantage. The track usually gives me as much of a beat down as anybody else.

RQ gave his approval, but I think we still need to hear from Digger. If he decides against it, that's ok. I will respect the wishes of the two score keepers. They are the ones that have to do the work.

I'm not against this. Going ahead and add.
I will suggest all stakes contest involving Oaklawn and Gulfstream.
Races 6 thru 14 Gulfstream
Races 9 thru 12 Oaklawn

I appreciate the willingness of both of our scorers to add Oaklawn races. I know that it is extra work on your parts and we would be nowhere without you.

In all fairness, Indian Hemp ought to have the final call on moving from 11 races at GP and 1 at Oaklawn to Digger's suggestion that we do 9 stakes races from GP and 4 more from Oaklawn. We ought to follow our tradition of respecting the points winners' choice.

Is Digger's suggestion OK with you, IH?

IH has the final word on the subject and however he decides is fine with me. Digger and I were just making suggestions. I, for one, will bear no one any ill will no matter what the final decision is.

I understand exactly what you are saying Cal. Your and Digger's suggestions are very constructive ones. I just didn't want any decision to be taken out of IH's hands. He earned it with a very strong points win.

My apologies if I made any suggestions that go against any of our rules that guide us through this contest.
I will honor play and score any decision that IH makes.

We're all good Digger. There seems to be a little extra enthusiasm on everyone's part as we see the final round of Derby and Oaks preps. Hopefully it will even increase as the first Saturday in May gets closer.

I'll plan on posting the threads once Indian Hemp has made the final decision.

I'm pretty sure it won't be. Race 3 was not mentioned in IH's original plan nor in any of the subsequent suggestions. The most recent 13 race proposal probably creates a full platter. But, as you must have gleaned from this thread, we are awaiting IH's final determination.

I said all the term, all stakes in my suggestion comment before I saw that race 3 was stakes. I decided not to mention it in my race numbers to play. It wasn't consecutive with the others so I left it out. Still though I'll stick with the all stakes contest. Just not every stakes on the card.

IH, I'll be glad to post the threads, but want to make sure I understand your intent. Do you mean your original call of GP Races 4 through 14 to which we now add Race 12 from Oaklawn, the Arkansas Derby?

My reply is that it would be the GP card starting with race 4 and adding the ARK Derby.

That's my decision based on a ROI perspective that has to include rolling exotics.

Yes, as we customarily handle it, you may include any race at GP in your ROI, but ONLY the Arkansas Derby from Oaklawn.

As I have chosen a single venue card that is usually permitted, although I will defer to RQ.

And therein is the conundrum of including multiple venues races in the ROI part of the contest. Rolling exotics withing continuous races would be the only wagers permitted. I would not accept asking RQ to score multiple venues.
