Gulfstream Park

Is now running their races on time. Good to see them making it a little easier on bettors. They have like 10 other things to fix, but still.

Dahoss 12-17-2020 03:13 PM

Not sure I’ve ever seen worse cards day in and day out at Gulfstream.

Embarrassing really.

BUT, compared to NY, you get racing FIVE days per week versus 4. You get 10 races a day versus 9 or 8. You get turf racing. You don't get racing days canceled for weather.

Let's see, we have had ten race cards most days since coming to Aqueduct. We had turf racing through last Friday. We cancelled once. The cards in NY have been full of big fields and plenty of opportunities. Surely you could have found a better comparison.

The reality is, the racing at Gulfstream has been unappealing. Perhaps it will improve, but there is a reason Aqueduct has "outhandled" them the majority of days since the "Championship Meet" began.

They should cut back to 4 days a week if this is what they are going to give bettors.

More crap races isn’t a plus.

Blame the breeding industry. They are the ones that are breeding the crap horses, yes?

I’m trying to figure out what your point is. Are you saying the racing at Gulfstream is good? Have you looked at the races at all?

Not saying it is good. Just a comparison to NY. I think they both have their plusses and minuses

First of all, the thread was about Gulfstream, but for some reason you needed to make it about NYRA. Second of all, you made a poor argument, as the racing has been far better overall in NY, even now.

I didn't make it about NYRA, just made a comparison of both and what each has to offer. You are the one who made it about NYRA and took it personally. All I was trying to point out was how compared to NY, Gulfstream has some other things to offer that NY does not at this time of year. I never mentioned that one was better than the other, so Lighten up Francis. It's just a thread on a forum.:)

Rule in internet posting....when someone says "lighten up Francis" they have lost.

I didn't take anything personally. I was just pointing out how wrong you were and why. Thanks for understanding that and admitting it.

Sure they do. I’m just not sure what NY has to do with anything. This is “the championship meet.” It’s basically 4 sh.it cards a week a 1 good card.

Dahoss 12-27-2020 02:49 PM

8th race today Mimina’s Team is 11-1 going into the gate. 5-1 coming out of the gate and 7/2 a quarter mile into the race. The scumbag riding her looked around under both shoulders as she glided up to the lead turning for home and then decided to start riding as she was swallowed up midstretch.

Who knows what the hell is really going on in these pools or on the track but that race was pretty fishy.

Dahoss 01-01-2021 03:17 PM

I want to not despise jockeys and then I see Tyler Gaffalione’s overconfident ride on The Extravagant Kid in the 9th today and I realize they are useless. You can’t sit like a statue until the 1/8 pole and get beat...period.

Dahoss 01-07-2021 02:12 PM

Strong card at Gulfstream today if you like moron riders and sh.it races.

Dahoss 01-07-2021 02:44 PM

Watching riders defer to Leparoux on the front end is incredible. I’ve seen it all now.

Shall I send you a few pictures of me with a lampshade on?

Alabama Stakes 01-07-2021 09:30 PM

They make lampshades that big ?

Dahoss 01-20-2021 02:56 PM

All of the things that make Gulfstream the biggest scumbag track around just happened in the 7th. The winner herds the runner up 6-7 paths AND bumps him, while his scumbag jock continues to flail away left handed. Jock on the runner up stops riding the last 100 yards because he’s a scumbag and the runner up loses by a head and stewards leave the horse up.

They don’t care. TSG is the enemy of horseplayers. Just remember that when everyone is excited about the shi.tshow they give you this weekend.

Meanwhile, Jerry Hollendorfer isn’t allowed to run at TSG tracks, but Frank Stronach gave him horses at Oaklawn.

You can’t make this s.hit up. You really can’t

Alabama Stakes 01-20-2021 03:16 PM

Rarely agree

He was going by him twice, and twice he got bumped and stopped passing. I got taken down for less when they put Luzzi up the other day

To be fair Frank probably gave Dorf horses to piss his bitch daughter off

Sure but it’s pretty amusing and sad at the same time

Joe Bravo has ridden over 30,000 races in his career and still thinks moves at the 3/8’s pole work.

MORON

MORON

He has patented that move. He actually somehow won doing it yesterday....but it's a terrible strategy.

Dahoss 01-21-2021 04:20 PM

That was some final two furlongs from Bee Catcher in the last. If I didn’t know better I’d think former Jason Servis assistant Carlos David was using something similar to what Servis was because that horse exploded after looking done around the turn.

Such a clean, fun experience at Gulfstream

MichiganMattA 01-21-2021 09:01 PM

Noticed this in the summer. Some of his claimers have their chest puffed out like Justify. Hes a magician at keeping weight on them for sure.

Dahoss 01-22-2021 03:04 PM

Nice ML in the 8th today. Stevie Wonder saw the trouble Song River had last time. 12-1?

Dahoss 01-24-2021 09:17 AM

Based on all the pictures I’m seeing from the event and after it would appear that the Pegasus has a real chance to be a super spreader event. Way to go Gulfstream!
