What if the four does not hold onto second? Would he then come down if the slight contact cost the four a place? They did not discuss that on the telecast.

I know a what if, but wouldn't the Stewards consider it more if that were the case.

if the 4 would have been impacted more than he was, maybe so, but he wasnt and the jock has to continue the effort to be considered for a change so if he would have slacked off then a definite no-call. I believe this issue was a trainer objection

The Stewards also consider whether the offending jockey acted in a willful or careless manner while interfering with another horse or jockey, for which the interferer may be disqualified, i.e., placed last or unplaced in the order of finish.
