Alive for five
How is it I could be alive for 5 of the great champions and still can't guarantee a win in any horse race real or virtual in the world?:p
Thanks for making Saturday (the 1st in May) more fun! You and yours stay healthy:) |
Do you have the PPs? I bet there is some speed in this race
|
SLEW!
|
What is even mildly interesting about this? To see how badly they pander to the recency bias?
|
I'm more interested in the Old Forester Kentucky Turtle Race. The slowest two minutes in sports!

PPs
Quote:
https://www.drf.com/second-act I found the lifetime PP of American Pharoah available on DRF with a search, I think it was 'Individual Horse Past Performance - American Pharoah'. For Justify I found my PP from the 2018 Preakness on my PC. It would be fun if Steve could sponsor a contest (straight tirfecta??) for a free T-Shirt(s) to the winner(s). |
So, NBC has a random number generator that can produce the numbers 1 to 13 that is biased to include "popular odds" which is influenced by recency. Run the program, generate a number, and simulate the graphics. If I wanted to watch people play video games, I would sign up for a TWITCH account.
What's next? A home run derby between Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and Albert Pujols for baseball junkies? This folly is a response to the Arkansas Derby(s) being run on Kentucky Derby Day. The world of real racing is paying attention to Oaklawn and not Churchill Downs. Let me know which number gets randomly selected. |

If I have watched darts and pool and corn hole and marbles on ESPN, I don’t see a problem with a virtual race being shown. Nobody is being hurt by it and even if it’s only mildly interesting, it’s better than no sports at all. I bet 95% of the posters on this forum will watch.

No offense to anyone watching this but there will be actual racing going on while this is going on.
That’s what I’ll be watching |

Just turned on ESPN. Their lineup:
2019 Golden Tee World Championship (video gaming) National Stone Skipping Competition Cherry Pit Spitting Championship Dodge Juggle (yes, they juggle while playing dodgeball) Putt-Putt Championships 2019 Stupid Robot Fighting League 2019 World Sign Spinning Championship 2019 Jelle’s Marble Runs (it’s marble racing) Lawn Mower Racing Slippery Stairs (racing to the top against slippery obstacles) 2019 Death Diving World Championship But some will have you believe that it’s silly and a waste of time to have a virtual race of the 13 Triple Crown winners. |
It’s silly because there is LIVE racing on.
|
Watched it Loved it and didn’t’ really make a dent in me watching live racing.
|
Funny thing I just realized. You can watch both live racing and take a couple of minutes and watch a virtual one and, and, wait for it, go back to the live racing. A person can get up and go to the restroom and miss two minutes of live racing and nobody thinks it’s silly.
But you’re right. We were all irrevocably damaged. |

Normally we have 10-12 tracks running and 7 of them at the exact same time.
this one was not overlapping anything at OP, so it was pretty easy to watch it for a couple of minutes. Easier then most any other day.......:D |
What was the final order of finish?
