Big A should go to polytrack
 

Another cancelled day at the BIG A. If they had polytrack this would not be a problem today. Another cancelled day or two and the new group that will run NY racing will certainly make this part of their platform.

With 2 tracks it actually is one place it makes sense.

I think Aqueduct should go to a synthetic surface. Just don't bring it anywhere near Saratoga!

They ran yesterday in a goddamn downpour with the track 5" deep in rain and today's the nicest day we've had all month and they're off??

Polytrack at all 3 NY tracks plus the training tracks...We could go Cushion at Big A, Tappetta at Belmont, and another brand at the Spa. but it would proly (not poly, LOL) be cheaper to do a package deal for one surface at all 3 plus the training tracks.

Surprise, surprise....and its not even winter yet...

Yes thats the answer ruin NY in one swoop! Poly is a cheap gimmick for cheap tracks to try and bring in horses and trainers. NY doesnt need that. It would be a sad day in racing if poly is ever install @ Saratoga

This is a thread about lost revenues at a bankrupt non-profit. Not polytrack. Polytrack is a suggestion on how they could run a better business. On a day like today they could have run on the polytrack if one of their tracks was poly. They could offer grass, dirt and poly all on the same card.

That it this day and age there is still a clay based bottom major North American race track in existence. Walk a horse over after a deluge, it'll suck off your shoes and socks if your not wearing very high boots or hip waders. Horses lose shoes that never are again seen. I suppose this will be the end of the clay based after new franchise is awarded and my comments are not based on Aqueduct but did you ever see a pretty good field go 1:18 in the goo. That's why they used to really need fast...good... muddy....heavy
