The models yesterday showed it coming right towards me in a few days, but the new model today has it staying out to sea now. Just looks like alot of rain. I think the gusts are about 55MPH

We actually need the rain down here although I'm not really looking forward to hearing about all of the hurricanes again this season. For 4-5 straight months, that's all we hear about.

hoovesupsideyourhead 06-12-2006 09:10 AM

I am soooo tired of storms. I know we need the rain, but dang it. I am not looking forward to spending weeks with no power. It is friggen really hot! I can deal with no TV or computer. The air conditioning is what I have a problem with losing.

Yeah....I'm tired of hearing about it. My insurance just dropped me cause I live a half of a mile from the Gulf. Only one company will take me now.
A little rain is nice but just to get the levels up.

All you Florida trailers take it easy in the rough weather. Dont want to see any of you down on the water like an a hole photographing the waves and then have one collapse over your head and sweep you out to sea!

edit: apparently i cant swear on this board anymore :)

Buffymommy 06-12-2006 01:34 PM

Good luck everyone on the West Coast. Dang hurricanes. Stay safe everyone!

zippyneedsawin 06-12-2006 01:42 PM

Dang, I hope the big Hurricanes stay away this year.

Buffymommy 06-12-2006 01:44 PM

I think this one is going to stay to the north of me. Just going to get rain and some wind. Any of you in the path of Alberto?

It's more north of me at this point. If I've learned anything though, I learned that these storms have a mind of their own.

It's still gusty rain though. I just hope that the Pensacola area doesn't get stuck with a hurricane again. (They got hit good a few times last year.)

Buffymommy 06-12-2006 01:55 PM

It is heading from what I have seen right up to the pan handle, but more east.

I was up in your neck of the woods on Saturday Cajun. Went shopping in the Orlando outlets and to Universal Studios. It was fun.

Weather is just cloudy here. Very gray and overcast. Little rain this morning, but I looked at the doopler radar and it looks as though there are lots of clouds and rain headed our way.

hoovesupsideyourhead 06-12-2006 02:32 PM

lets not be saying the pan handle..its nice here...so far.....but we will get a few this year....hurricane check list
batterys gas, food ice and partyables..:cool:if you get the nasa channel they are showing the storm...cool....

Do you know where he is? My in-laws and Bro-in-law are in Madison, FL. They got hit pretty hard last night. Said it was OK so far today. My bro-in-law went into his restaurant this morning and was going to open up.

GPK 06-13-2006 08:35 AM

I just got off the phone with him. Everything is fine. He said they just got a little thunderstorm. It must have made landfall well east of him.

Hes fine and the family is fine.

Bout 4 inches. Not that much last night. However, if you see the radar, we might get some more. I guess Citrus cnty got hit hard.

USF, huh? I'm a proud season ticket holder for the Bulls. Maybe your son will like it enough to go there.
