$100 on John Daly will bring me a cool 100K. Oh Yeah!!!;)

Save $50 of that and enter the tournament I told you about. The 25th guy is hedging now because he "has things to do this weekend".

:D

Don't see him winning the Claret Jug, but I like him to to finish in the top 20.

I honestly wouldn't even know which direction to go if I get the top pick in the draft tonight. Bigtime toss up!

declansharbor 07-18-2017 05:18 PM

I pick 8th & then 43rd on the way back.

Is it weird that I know who I'm taking on the way back already (super sleeper that I won't post here bc my brothers lurk here from time to time)??

I'm half tempted to take Fleetwood at 8 with the way he's playing. I just can't pass up on a Rose or Garcia type if they somehow are still there at 8. I chose before both brothers so it doesn't matter if they see this or not.

Can't WAIT for The Open!

casp0555 07-18-2017 05:20 PM

Longshot play = Tommy Fleetwood. Should know after the first round :o

Louis Oosthuizen is solid and Jason Day for me.:)

Not sure you could pay me to take Day at this point. He's nowhere near his 2016 form.

I just took Rahm at 8 in the draft. It was either Rahm or Koepka to choose from, let's hope I made the right choice!

Alabama Stakes 07-19-2017 10:06 AM

Who did you get at ,43?

Hasn't even made the turn yet, seems like everyone is having trouble choosing a golfer for this event. I took Rahm in less than 10 seconds.. Fleetwood went 6th.

So far.

declansharbor 07-19-2017 04:08 PM

Almost my pick again and my original plan was to go Cameron Smith .... but the list of available golfers is way too long for me to blindly take Smith. This decision SUCKS.

Lovemark, Kisner, Finau, Bubba, Hadwin, Harman, Henley, Wesley bryan, Billy Ho ... UGHHHHHHHH wtf man this is a toughie

Absolutely ... i was torn between Rahm, Rors, and Koepka once Hideki was taken.

and fwiw .... I just ( for SOME REASON ) took Finau on the way back. Probably the hardest decision ive had to make since the inception of this tournament years ago.

and i already dont like it haha

herkhorse 07-19-2017 08:29 PM

I think Rahm was the right play, most likely winner IMO.

I was going to take Snedeker as a longshot play, but he's already out.

I'll go with Molinari for my bomb now.

Alabama Stakes 07-19-2017 09:44 PM

Took a little Dustin Johnson +1800 To be first round leader.
Took a little Shane Lowry + 2200 to be low European. Also +5000 first round

It's rough betting golf. How are you supposed to hope guys miss putts ?:zz:

If the money is on craziest pants, you win.

Tommy Fleetwood looks more like Mick Fleetwood out there. :)

declansharbor 07-20-2017 10:16 AM

Has Hoffman ever met a Thursday he hasn't liked?? :D

He's like the 8th wonder of the world on opening rounds! My dad's best friend is friends with the guy (his daughter was MOH in CH's epically dressed wedding) and he told him the secret to his early success is 2 light beers on Weds night. He should use that tactic before moving day as well!

casp0555 07-23-2017 02:21 PM

unbelievable....just when, oh, never mind, the kid played like a champion with his back to the wall after the "almost' disastrous 13.

Would you have taken 2-1 on him after his tee shot on 13? This was a career defining event for him. He was clearly facing the weight of carrying the Scarlet "C" word if he continued as he had until that point. That would have been the second time in a major... Huge win.

What we saw on Sunday was probably the most riveting 45 minutes of golf in YEARS.

imo, the only thing to come close to it was Patrick Reed's shallacking of Rory last year in the Ryder Cup. My buddy Torphy conceived his son that weekend after watching PR dismantle Rors and just had his first kid born in the past two weeks. The name'?? Patrick Reed Torphy. :tro::tro:

herkhorse 07-25-2017 06:45 PM

gtfo! you're kidding right?

declansharbor 07-25-2017 07:46 PM

I laughed.

Which part?

The part where it was the best golf to watch of the year or the part where he named his first born son after Reed? Haha

Hahaha -- I refused to tell Torp of the cheating accusations of Reed lmao

herkhorse 07-26-2017 05:09 AM

lol yes the Reed part :D

I'm still laughing. Cute kid though. :)
