HERE WE GO AGAIN for the ROSES . . . Look see, so let's have some FUN!!!

Double your pleasure . . . double your fun with Derby Week, Derby Week, Derby Week . . . FUN!!!

So as we have all been used to for may years before, it is double points for the contests, double the bankroll to $200 smackers and adding the Oaks-Derby Double . . . wager, we may just have some double trouble!!! :$::D

And I will throw in the slightly ridiculous added points for:
1: The last place Derby horse = 5 points
2: Oaks-Derby Double = 5 points
2: The Derby straight Exacta = 10 points
3: The Derby straight Trifecta = 20 points

You hit all those and it's Call To Post cyber jackpot city!!!

Anyone that can hit any of those deserves the extra points added to their points totals.

DonGuido 05-01-2017 09:24 PM

Make you picks here for extra points for the slightly ridiculous added points items 1,2,3,4 noted in the original post. Simple sample enough:
1: #9 last place
2: Oaks #2 with Derby #10
3: Derby exacta 4-6 (not boxed but straight)
4: Derby trifecta 4-6-14 (not boxed but straight)

Enjoy!!!

So, for communication purposes are we doing both Friday and Saturday? And for the ROI plit both days or used any fashion?

Real Quiet 05-02-2017 10:08 AM

As far as I know we do not play Oaks Day on Friday. The only wager you can play in the ROI Contest is an Oaks / Derby Double and that would count as one of your four wagers. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

DonGuido 05-02-2017 11:29 AM

We are only playing the Saturday Derby Card but you can play the Oaks-Derby double in the ROI contest if you like. The only time we play consecutive days (Fri-Sat) is for Breeders Cup for obvious reasons. If you play the Oaks-Derby double it does come out of your $200 with remaining for Saturday or you can save all of it for Saturday.

Would anyone object to omitting races 13 and 14?

JolyB 05-03-2017 06:48 PM

Best suggestion I've heard in a long while. Hard to believe that fans who have been watching races since 10:30 AM will have any energy (or money) left after the Derby is declared official. Post time for race 14 isn't until 8:10 PM.

ryonker1 05-03-2017 08:51 PM

1: #3 last place
2: Oaks #4 with Derby #17
3: Derby exacta 17-19
4: Derby trifecta 17-19-9

thanks
Ron

I'll add my one cent. I agree with Jane and Joly about not including races 13 and 14. Once the Derby is in the books I'll be "crying in my beer" and won't be interested in the remaining two races.
