I don't know but might assume that SCAT Daddy's name derives from his co-owner's, James SCATuorchio.

I dunno... and some of her offspring have names playing off of it. One of them has something to do with "HeadLights".

Haha yeah and I bet they have no idea what the most popular definition for scat is in the 21st century. Brilliant.

For some odd reason, I remember seeing one of her babies sale listed recently.

Cajungator26 10-25-2006 05:09 PM

My pick for one of the best names had to be "Smelly." He won the Federico Tesio Stakes in 1990.

i suggested breeding awad to a mare with blue in her name.....hehehe

name the resulting foal blue awad....:D

wooden swallow caused an uproar recently, they caved and changed the name.
a guy sued as he had a colonial affair filly he wanted to name sally hemmings--you may have seen the story. i suggested naming the filly 'dashing sally' as that's what jeffersons 'homeys' called her.

There was a low-level that ran at Canterbury about 5-10 years ago named "Spanky Clean". Still my favorite to this day.

But I also like the "Sinister Minister". It sounds corny, but if you're a pro wrestling fan, you'll understand.

bogeydaman 10-25-2006 06:08 PM

Best one I ever saw was Liquerwreckedhim. Probably 5 years ago the horse was entered as a 1st time starter in a 2 year old maiden race at Calder. Buddy of mine still has the program. Horse was scratched before the day got started due to the name. Eventually took a "new name" > not sure whatever became of this one.

We still laugh every 6 months or so about this one.

AQHA Western Pleasure Horse-Sofa King Slow "say it"

I don't know how in the world the people got away with that. The AQHA registry is strict. Someone should name a TB that if they could get away with it. It would be funny...

I can see Denman calling out, and "HERE COMES SOFA KING SLOW"....LOL.:D
