US Open--Oakmont

Who has the mindset and the game to win this SOB? The layout is brutal, and the penalties are very harsh. Rough in spots is up to !0"!

And please, Johnny Miller, please don't relive your past here. It's a different game these days..........

Pants II 06-13-2016 08:38 PM

I would take Fowler and Scott, tbh. But who knows...this course is absolutely murderous. I'm watching as much as possible.

declansharbor 06-14-2016 11:25 AM

I can't WAIT to see these pros look like me coming out of the rough around the greens!

Must see TV this weekend!

Alabama Stakes 06-14-2016 07:33 PM

I'm a try a little Brandon grace @ 38-1 and Patrick reed @ 38-1. Shane Lowry @ 80-1 is worth a haff a hundo too.

Chalk is vulnerable here for sure

3kings 06-15-2016 07:07 AM

An FYI for those wagering, the weather here for Thursday looks really bad. Major thunderstorms and probable interrupted play. Doubt they get the whole field through on Thursday if the weather people are correct. The weather does look good for the weekend.

Crown@club 06-15-2016 02:13 PM

Winning Score +2.

That may be too optimistic.

I like the bottom right entry a lot, jms.

Alabama Stakes 06-16-2016 07:31 AM

He will need to improve on his 55.6% Driving Accuracy to be competitive

Alabama Stakes 06-16-2016 08:37 AM

Because we hit it so far..... Instead of Being in the fairway , we often find ourselves in the light rough. But the oohs and ahhs off the tee are worth it

Alabama Stakes 06-17-2016 01:10 PM

Ugh I thought it was in

GBBob 06-17-2016 01:34 PM

Would tied for first have paid?

nice job though...so, so close

Alabama Stakes 06-17-2016 02:32 PM

It's a split would a been 9 instead of 18

MinnSkinny 06-17-2016 03:10 PM

Ticket Busters:

Nah , if they were he would a come in birdie bogey

I don't know why I bet golf. It's the ultimate "root against guys" sport. I can't root against people, even if I don't like em. There are some great value plays out there though.
So he has 66 foot birdie putt on 16. He Sallys it up there 10 feet shot. Calmly sinks the par putt like it had eyes. Bulletproof dodged.
Lays up on 17 and his wedge is awful from 90 yards . Makes big run at the birdie putt but just fades late . Tap in par
Enormous drive on 18. Nice iron to 26 feet below the hole. Beautiful putt... Just stays up.

Crown@club 06-18-2016 12:36 PM

Stupid hedging! Take out Sergio & Zach Johnson for Stenson & Holmes.

Talk about kicking myself in the ass

Alabama Stakes 06-18-2016 08:03 PM

I don't know weather to ship or go blind. I'm too old for this craziness .

declansharbor 06-18-2016 11:38 PM

My brother has $250 to win on Branden Grace at 24-1.

I sure hope he wins & my bro gets to open hand slap me in the face as hard as he can, like we agreed upon back when Grace was +3 early in round 1.

Besides that, I'm BIG TIME rooting for DJ to finally shut people the phuck up on Sunday.

Alabama Stakes 06-19-2016 09:59 AM

cmon Shane . You the man

That's not a bad bet.

Even if you lose it isn't considering the course.

Alabama Stakes 06-19-2016 02:01 PM

Wouldn't feel safe with a 4 shot lead with 3 to play let alone 18

herkhorse 06-19-2016 02:47 PM

20.00 straight tri Lowry DJ Piercy

casp0555 06-19-2016 03:31 PM

wow...lowry's 2nd shot on 4, he's gonna need a Toro to find that sucker

it wasn't that bad...:o

Alabama Stakes 06-19-2016 04:55 PM

Biggest bunch of bullshit rule interpretation ever. Sight relief from another fairway rough ? And then he drops from the junk to a place the ball lie, and then hit it over the tower ...I am .....

casp0555 06-19-2016 05:10 PM

Day is getting in a zone....

Pants II 06-19-2016 06:12 PM

Jim Furyk just chillin.

Pants II 06-19-2016 06:47 PM

About time, Dustin.

Alabama Stakes 06-20-2016 01:23 PM

Random observations

Maybe he can afford to buy his wife a dress. What trailer park is her home town park?

Fox is so bad at golf it's scary . It's almost a parody it's so bad

Jack Nicklaus is an ego rivaled only by the likes of Sir Paul , Sir Elton , and Billy Joel. I'd rather look at Arnold Palmers picture than listen to that blowhard again

The Usga is a joke with their rulings , which they couldn't get right to save their lives

Triple cutting the greens and rolling them is just childish and ruined the tourney

Shane Lowry , you played like a coward, deserving to lose. I'm surprised you didn't fall down a couple of times out there.

They shoulda left some trees

Pants II 06-20-2016 01:45 PM

I don't have an issue with the dress. The dress is fine for a normal summer day.

It is not fine, however, when your husband is in contention for a US Open title. And the feminists can disagree all they'd like...that dress was classless for the occasion. And quite frankly with his addiction issues it might be best if she wasn't trying to steal the headlines. I'm not going to play naive and say she had no idea what she was doing. She did.

apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Wasn't her mom in playboy? She looks just like her

Slid in there with a very nice round Sunday....watched the leaders steadily fall behind while he checked off the extra $$ coming in

declansharbor 06-20-2016 03:39 PM

My buddy drafted Zach Johnson and Jim Furyk in the pool that I ran this past week. He won the best combined duo BY A MILE ,and would have taken down the whole pot had Lowry won.

Out of the 22 patrticipants in the pool this time, NOT ONE picked Shane Lowry. That's 44 golfers. I was embarrassed for us all until second half of Sunday (which just so happens to be the reason why I ALWAYS skip over him in these things; his propensity to shoot >75 any given round).

and count me in the minority that thought FS1's coverage this year was LIGHT YEARS better than last year's and I fell in love with a few of their features. Tee tracker and the microphone in the cups are just a few.]

EDIT:: I went to a concert at Hershey park yesterday/last night, so when I got home last night at midnight, I didnt watch 'Thrones' or even a smidgen of the basketball game, I watched every shot of Sunday overnight. Needless to say, Im dragging like hell right now. Hit the proverbial wall, also known as 'Sinister Minister' by me. Go fast until you have nothing left to give!

Yeah. Was a professional dancer. Wayne met her while he was a judge on "Dance Fever".

This is just another example of why we should start admiring scientists and doctors more than people who play children's games. It's obvious Paulina stopped mentally developing at age 14.

Side note: I'd have no problem with yesterday if it were Tiger's ex-wife. Total smoke show.
