"You have the right to remain silent...hell you even have the right to shut the hell up too":D :D :D

Scav 10-16-2006 07:58 PM

Curt, please refrain from such ridiculousness....

2MinsToPost 10-16-2006 08:04 PM

Guilty as charged. Shutting computer down now before I get stupid.

Now, seriously, I think they stand a "chance". No offense Scav.

Coach Pants 10-16-2006 08:11 PM

Well Rex looks like the Rex of old in the first.

It's because I took the Bears.

Scav 10-16-2006 08:21 PM

we look like crap, f'n Urlacher was in Vegas for the weekend and we took them lightly, hopefully this will wake them up

pgardn 10-16-2006 08:30 PM

The praise given to Leinhardt borders on insanity. He is getting the ball to wide open receivers that are catching the ball 5 yards down field and running 15. The Bears CB better start tackling and quit laying off. A very passive defensive game so far by the Bears. The Blocking on the right side of the Cardinal line is very good right now. Leonard Davis blocks out the sun. Maybe he will get skinny.

Coach Pants 10-16-2006 08:53 PM

This is what I get for giving 11.5 points.

Coach Pants 10-16-2006 09:09 PM

What's making me sick is I actually considered backing my bet with a $50 moneyline on the cards.

stevepopyak 10-16-2006 09:17 PM

Have to admit I didn't see this coming.

Scav 10-16-2006 09:20 PM

Well...that was strange! Great play at QB, the Cards have their man there, great effort by defense...but some teams just find a way to win while others find a way to lose! The one turnover Matt had wasn't his fault, that tackle should be fined for that play...what the hell was he doing??? Edge was stopped but the whistle didn't blow, still 36 carries for no yardage...why run the ball over and over into 8-9, hell 10 man fronts???

2MinsToPost 10-17-2006 09:59 AM

Wow. Bout all i can say, what a finish.

Scav 10-17-2006 10:01 AM

I wonder if the Miami hospitals saw an influx of heart attacks, namely the cork poppers, they thought they had it in the bag....HOLLLAAA WHAT

Pointg5 10-17-2006 10:02 AM

It's the NFL, it happens...I remember when the Bungals won 2 games in 2002, yet they pasted some team 38-3 on the road...Don't get too high or too low off of a win or loss...

stevepopyak 10-17-2006 10:44 AM

urlacher

How about Urlacher? Phenomenal performance in the last quarter ... he was just everywhere.

My friend goes to me "He might be one of the only players in the NFL that deserves every penny that he gets"

When they say that good players take it to the next level, that is a perfect example of that. He had Boldin, who is a serious human being, wanting no part of the middle of the field. Absolutely played one of his better games as a Bear.

stevepopyak 10-17-2006 10:57 AM

I think Urlacher would have ripped Edge's arm off if necessary to get the ball loose on that fumble that resulted in a TD. Again, just an unbelievable performance.

yeah, fact is that was a grey area call, i would say about 50% of the refs would have blown the play dead, he was wrapped up and one some grabbed his shoulder and then off with his arm.

This couldn't have been a better result for the Bears, they got popped in the mouth big time and hopefully this wakes them up a little that they are not ****ting roses yet. I want to write a letter to Urlacher telling him how much as a fan, i appreciate him playing ballls out, but we all know I would never get it, maybe I should take out a ad in the Chicago Tribune or something. I love Rex's comment after the game too, his attitude is absolutely great "Looks like we have two weeks to talk about how bad I played, probably the worst football game of my life" All the reporters laughed.

2MinsToPost 10-17-2006 01:24 PM

Edge gets the ball 36 times and gains 56 yards. huh?

Urlacher is the nuts, reminds me, as far as his intensisty, of Spielman

More like Singletary

gales0678 10-17-2006 02:38 PM

i know this is past posting - but - last night i heard from "a sharpie" that all the action went on Chicago -13

In the lasst 2 weeks the public has gotten killed on the detroit/oakland series in basball and the bears last night

In situations like these the it pays to go against the public. I don't think there was an type of "fix" in here. Just a team that didn't respect their opponent and played down to their competiton.

Also - the Cardinals have not been horrible this year - they very eaisly could have beaten the Rams and Chiefs the 2 prior weeks. "Vegas" sees the Bears as a public team and inflated this line from the get go!

More true now because of how they are playing. Lines will be out of whack for the rest of the year

2MinsToPost 10-17-2006 03:34 PM

Their was a great article in Sports Illustrated last year that went into detail as to how "Vegas" sets the line. Very interesting stuff, it was a great read.

He most have figured out exactly what the Cardinals were doing by that time. He was reading plays like he knew exactly where they were going. Ive never seen a quarter like that by a defensive player.

I thought Leinhardt performed well, but the announcers overrated him. He moves in the pocket very well, but my God, his receivers were making great runs after the catch. He would throw a ball 6 yards and it would turn into 20. Boldon had a great game. I would have been giving Boldon a heck of a lot of credit. Thats why I usually turn off the volume. The announcers distort everything so much I actually start believing them. Superlatives mean nothing. When a guy like Urlacher has a game like that it does not mean as much because all the superlatives have been used up.

And I really have never seen a quarter played that well by one guy on defense. And I am certain he figured out what the Cards were calling. That wont come out in any interview. Urlacher tells all...
