Jill Byrne--Alive in the Pick 6

Not sure if everyone is aware, but Jill is alive to the 6 and 9 in the last leg at Keeneland today. IMO Jill is about the best handicapper when it comes to the KY tracks. I wil lbe cheering her on. I think there was a carryover of about $23k today.

Coach Pants 10-11-2006 03:58 PM

Yeah and only a $96 ticket. I don't care how chalky it is, that's imressive.

Gander 10-11-2006 04:00 PM

It wouldnt be that impressive if it was a pick 6 like the one at Belmont this past Saturday. I hope its a lot better than that.

No kidding and plus 1 single. Her deepest race was 3 deep in the 2nd leg. People talk about how hard it is to handicap Polytrack, well Jill is proving you wrong. PolyTrack is just like every other surface, you have to do your homework.

Well that was easy. You had 3 99% singles. Our ticket was $54 and we even hit it along with everyone else.

The Bid 10-11-2006 04:06 PM

800 bucks if shes lucky

Is that to the 6 or the 9?

What a crock by the shill. How do you "homework" when more than half of each field has never run on it?
Thats not homework, thats educated guessing. And looks like they were all faves. Umm, I guess only a true shill would attempt to impress the importance of someone catching 5 faves in a row in he pik-6 being live.
Very exciting stuff. YAWN

Gander 10-11-2006 04:09 PM

$8.80 was the highest priced winner so far. The others were $6, $6, $4, and $5. Of course shes got the 2 favorites in the last leg. Whoopit eee doo.

oracle80 10-11-2006 04:10 PM

This little asterisks next to the odds denote the favorite. They are 5/5 today. Euro, you gotta do better if you are gonna even make a remote attempt to hide the shilling.

You crack me up. First you complain because all log shots come in and then you think it is boring that all favs come in. I dont get it.

Gander 10-11-2006 04:12 PM

I still think Euro is a reformed and better behaved Kycherub. I'm convinced of it. Kind of a coincidence that both posters went in on pick 6's with a group of people in almost identical denominations.

I never complained about anything, I'm not wagering on the place.
My complaint is that an obvious shill tries to trump up somone playing a 96 dollar pk-6 ticket and catching 5 faaves as some sort of tremendous achievement that proves anything. You have no idea how foolish that looks.

1st_Saturday_in_May 10-11-2006 04:14 PM

She shoulda used the 12...2 MTP

Whatever, I don't know anyone alive who would try and use 5 stone cold chalks in a row winning at a track as proof of anything. Its the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.

JJP 10-11-2006 04:14 PM

The 12 is the one that could wreck her ticket. Maybe even the 1. Like the 6 better than the 9.

Gander 10-11-2006 04:15 PM

I like the 1 horse, but what do I know about polytrack? Very little.
I hope she hits it so we can see what it pays.

JJP 10-11-2006 04:16 PM

This race is on turf not the carpeting.

It pays like $1006 to the 6 and $1017 to the 9.

Finally, someone else realizes that Euro is Cherub...The defining moment for me was when Euro put up pictures of one of his kids, when you clicked on it, it wouldn't open, but you could see The Ramones, Cherub told us multiple times that The Ramones were his favorite...

eurobounce 10-11-2006 04:18 PM

Well she had a nice little ride going. I guess she will get her money back.

Wilted very badly....

oracle80 10-11-2006 04:20 PM

I guess she wont Cherub. Everyone missed the same horse, too bad, so sad.

PointG, Ky also said he lived in Cincy or near there and frequented Turfway Park.

We all knew, its just that we didn't care.

They are not my favorite band. I like like more old time rock. Still have no clue who this cat is you people keep talking about.

No clue what that 12 horse as doing going out to such a huge lead. But oh well.

Gander 10-11-2006 04:22 PM

2 things that sort of threw me off and still dont jive:

Kycher never claimed to have kids. He was engaged and getting married in Dec of 2004 (I think).

Kycher was a physical therapist. Euro claims to own an oil changing business.

Either hes very creative or theres an evil twin out there in the same geographic location.

He's just creative, but I am smarter than he is, Rootdog outed him one time saying he was a stockbroker living in Cincinnati on another board and then he shows up on ESPN with a different persona...I think the only thing that's true about him is that he's from Cincinnati, I haven't caught him lying about that...

Will some please fill me in on this guy.

Gander - I no longer own the business. I sold it about once month ago to TSS Tire. I am working there for 6 months as the transition happens then I dont know what I am going to do. I am thinking about going to Law School.

Gander 10-11-2006 04:29 PM

Well this version of Kycher is more civil and does not feel the need to insult us NY'ers. Remember how much he hated us and NY racing in general.

Euro is equally as infatuated with Kentucky racing as Kycher was, which is understandable given the fact that they are both from a neighboring state. But still, the similarities are too coincidental for me.

I miss the stories of how he did physical therapy to a girl's high school team. That was good stuff. I dont miss the sexual explicit details of his love life. That was gross.

Do I really need to? ESPN Message board. Up until about 1 year ago. Ring a bell?

Well Gander I will be in Saratoga next summer so you can meet me and you can put your assumptions to rest. But I want to meet this fellow too. Sounds interesting

No sorry. I was ESPN a short time before this site was created.

I especially liked toward the end of his stay at ESPN how he said that he met Oracle, but Oracle didn't even know he met him...He said that Oracle just sidles up to people...It was really bizarre

I don't care really, Euro's fine, but I wish he would admit it...

Gander 10-11-2006 04:33 PM

Its not a big deal either way. I really had nothing against Kycher, as I dont take internet insults to heart. I actually looked forward to his posts, they were entertaining to say the least.

Next summer is a deal! Although meeting you will never prove you were or werent Kycher.

Point, i would admit it if I could. I really would. If there is something I can do to show you, I would.

By the way Gander. Thanks for all the running advice. I am up to 3/4 a mile now. I am doing about a 9 minute mile which is slow but it is working.

He also described how I supposedly dressed and Gander and I laughed our asses off because the guy wasn't even close. He supposedly met me in a place where I wasn't, when he said he met me.

Gander 10-11-2006 04:38 PM

No problem. I have eased my way back into it but its harder than ever for me to stay consistent. I have a very bad neck problem at the moment. Gets worse after a run. Wake up very tight every morning. Getting treatment through a chiro 3 times a week. The money is just flying out of my pocket.

Today I ran almost 7 miles and feel very good right now, but soon my neck will make me ask myself why I do what I do!
