Haskell possibles (per Monmouth)

Could be a good one, albeit with a short field.

Well thats a great spot for Untapable, those others at a distance are not her equal.

Kasept 07-13-2014 11:55 AM

Albano (L. Jones/K. Clark)
Bayern (B. Baffert/M. Smth or M. Garcia)
Irish You Well (W. Catalano/O. Bocachica)
Just Call Kenny (P. McBurney/J. Pimental)
Medal Count (D. Romans/R. Albarado)
Social Inclusion (M. Azpurua/I. Ortiz Jr.)
Untapable (S. Asmussen/R. Napravnik)
Wildcat Red (J. Garaffalo/L. Saez)
Encryption (K. Breen/P. Lopez)

Eight horses is a short field? Every field has to have 12-14 or it's 'short'?

saratogadew 07-13-2014 12:22 PM

Short to me is a field under six. Glad Dale's in their with Medal Count. Shaping up to be a great race.

hockey2315 07-13-2014 01:03 PM

Eight would be above average for the Haskell in recent years. . . Selfishly hoping Untapable doesn't run so I can bet my net worth on Just Call Kenny to win.

Please note that it is a " possibles " list., usually there are a few more than 8 on such a list , no ? Like 12-14 culled down to 8 ?

I would be pleased if all listed showed up :wf

Untapable is hardly a cinch.

I agree.

Sightseek 07-14-2014 09:55 AM

Untapable confirmed for Haskell via Twitter just now.

letswastemoney 07-14-2014 12:07 PM

Social Inclusion's TimeformUS figures at route distances are roughly equal to, or maybe even better than Untapable (I'm only going off memory).

My only concern is that he needs the lead, and he may not get it with Bayern and Wildcat Red probably hell bent on the same strategy.

Sightseek 07-14-2014 12:50 PM

Even without Untapable, it was shaping up to be an interesting race.

Its Inclusion or Bayern! Odds are one of them has finally put it together and the other or both can cutback for the Kings Bishop after this. I dont like Untapable or Wildcat Red at all in this spot. Wildcat Red also belongs in the Kings Bishop....

I don't think he necessarily needs the lead. He ran okay in the Preakness while rating.

No, she's still on as far as I know.

She was on her for her work yesterday.

I'm pretty sure Rosie is back on... saw that tweeted the other day after it was announced Untapable was coming.

Fun Twitter quote contest! What enthusiastic racing aficionado said it?

Who's is likely for the Jim Dandy beyond Tonalist? The Haskell came up weak and I'm not seeing anyone out there exciting. What am I missing?

I feel confident in making PG1985 the 1:9 favorite.

PG1985 is Andy Beyer compared to the individual who penned that epic tweet.

I was actually giving him credit for being tongue-in-cheek.

Also... I dont think the Haskell is weak. I think its very likely that Social Inclusion or Bayern have matured enough to stretch out and win this. I believe both of them and Wildcat Red should focus on cutting back for the Kings Bishop after the Haskell.

Indian Charlie 07-17-2014 10:36 PM

Anyone believing social inclusion is a sprinter needs their head examined

I said the Kings Bishop would be the ideal spot, I also said he is a likely winner of the Haskell. I would not run him 10f at Saratoga though. Nothing wrong w/ winning the Bishop. See Hard Spun......

Oh, that's right.

I forgot, you don't need your head examined.

FTFY Freddy. Still wondering why he was pulled in the Belmont. You'd have thought at least one writer would have asked.
