IT HAS to pay more then that because the pool size will be probably around 2 million
|
This is huge, i was goign to play a $200 pick three 1/5/1 but now I can just play a $100 ticket and go 5x5x4x1x1x1
|
said due to trouble with video feed?
|
That is the biggest crock of crap i have ever heard, they just want to have a huge carryover for tomorrow. VIDEO FEED, I love it
|
Can you imagine the aggravation now if you had a Pick 6 ready to go and it winds up hitting today?
|
Video feed, LOL! Its a planned thing, you can be sure of it. Anyone think this is a way to try and lure people to come out tomorrow?

Belmont Answer
Transmission problems delay card
By MIKE FARRELL ELMONT, N.Y. - The start of the third race at Belmont Park on Friday was delayed at least a half hour as the New York Racing Association tried to restore the audio and video signal to over 1,000 off-track and simulcast outlets. Wagering was also interrupted at some offtrack sites. Post time on the tote board for the third race was revised to 2:30 p.m. The race was originally scheduled for 2:02 p.m. NYRA spokesperson Fran LaBelle Jr. blamed the failure on fiber-optic lines from Verizon. The delay also pushed back the Pick 6, starting with the fourth race with a carryover of $456,860. |
Imagine the faces if Bernardini does not win tommorrow LOL
Now that is going to be a good Pick 6, u might have hundreds pick the first 5 races and single Bernardini and lose |
The people that run NYRA are crooks and con artists. This video problem is such a bunch of lies. Either there is a way they can skim money off the pick 6 or they did this to get attention to their saturday card, which nobody would bet anyway due to the field sizes. NYRA blows.
I love how they screw the guys who bet during the week so that the guy who bets on the weekend can have a chance at their pick 6. NYRA=LIARS Please explain to me the last time they had this problem with the pick 6. Try never. |
While I have a problem with the decision, a big problem as I put a lot of effort and money into the Pick-6, the reason they cancelled the wager was apparantly because in some states it is illegal to bet without a signal.
What can I say....the first winner of the sequence was one of three on my main ticket. I'm certainly not happy. Now I can spend the rest of my afternoon rooting against my opinions....starting with my single in the 5th Legs Benedict. |

Are you really that gullible? How often does this signal problem happen? Try never and when they have a big card that nobody would bet because of 4 and 5 horse fields. These people are f-ing liars. Enough with the crooks at NYRA screwing the public. |
i had the same thought about it carrying over to tomorrow , I figured it would be because a 50-1 shot would win one of the races . Sometimes I think it is fixed seems to be alot of carryovers when you have a big weekend of races coming up. Oh well back to the drawing board.
|
I am cool with it....Hell, I was going to play one ticket all day, a $200 pick three HH/EC/Bern and take my 5/2 on it. Now, I play a pick six 10x5x2x1x1x1 and I get tons better value on that pick three I was going to wager on
THANK YOU NYRA, I LOVE YOU |
What is even crazier is that Martin's horse in the 5th tomorrow looks like the nuts already also, you might be able to turn $24 to $48 into 5k tomorrow, relatively easy.....
|
a $200 pick three HH/EC/Bern
The only horse I think that wins out of that sequence is Bernardini. |
For what it's worth my previous explanation was inaccurate. It was a decision by NYRA, for better or worse, that because some people couldn't see the odds, and the first leg did have many first time starters and first time turfers, that a lot of people would be betting at a disadvantage. The handle on the first three races was apparently down 50% so they decided to make the decision they did. It's not a decision I agree with, and I say that after I would have been knocked out in the third leg, but that was the reasoning nonetheless.
|
Thanks for the explanation Andy. I wasnt playing a thing today, so its actually a good thing I can get involved in the Pick 6 carryover tomorrow. Looks like a small payout but one a small time player like myslef can have a decent chance at.
Nice call on Legs Benedict by the way. |

I really dont see Henny winning tomorrow Scavs. I see the only 2 winners of that race being War Front or Silver Train.
|
Tim, please don't waste your money on War Front, I am telling you, no way he beats Silver Train, let alone Henny Hughes. Silver Train can beat HH, I will not argue with you there, but War Front, um no.....
|
Then, find something else to PLAY!

Amazing how many expertrs we have here who don't have sense God gave a mule. This wasn't any grand conspiracy to promote a carryover to today. NYRA had a tough call to make and they made the right call. With the vidoe down EVERYWHERE!! And I do mean everywhere Scav, not even in NY on the racing channels, only place you could see a Belmont race was at the track. They first had a 30 minute delay to attempt to see if they could straighten out the problem. When they could not estimate an ETA on getting the satellite uplink back they cancelled the pik-6. It was the only responsible thing to do. Lack of the signal would have caused people at ANYWHERE except Belmont itself not to be able to see odds, minutes to post, or track conditions or to even think they had cancelled racing. They made the right call under the circumstances, and yes if there had not been a carryover they would not have cancelled wagering. But there was a big one, and they acted prudently. I love you Oliver Stone conspiracy guys, I really do. |

I didn't see anyone threatening bodily harm to another poster as you have done in the past or insulting their family or beliefs...what is your problem? Get over it. It is a message board. |

I don't care what he says to me you imbecile. I care that hes libeling NYRA, Steve hasn't been around the last two days to monitor it, and that Steve is responsible if NYRA or someone with them reacts. Hes not criticizing, hes making legal accusations with no proof at all. There's a big diff. |

I know the Yankees losing and polytrack showing that you are a mediocre handicapper is tough, but don't take it out on other people. |

Dude, you have zero credibility. You get sued by trainers, you connection is Dutrow, and you love NYRA. You are full of crap. You remind me of the Republicans that go around preaching morality when we all know you are the bottom of the barrel dirt. |
