LVRJ: Vegas Sportsbooks ride Hawks wave
Sports books ride Seahawks all the way to bank
http://www.reviewjournal.com/columns...s-all-way-bank If this game pitted the sharps against the squares, it was a one-sided slaughter of the public. The Seattle Seahawks, who got a majority of the sharp action, stuck it to Denver 43-8 on Sunday in the type of Super Bore that launched the proliferation of proposition bets. But.. About the safety... Will there be a safety? The “yes” side cashed, for the third consecutive year, at plus-550. The first scoring play of the game being a Seattle safety paid off 50-1 to 60-1 odds. The first score of the game being anything other than a touchdown returned plus-150. Add up the three results, Bogdanovich said, and his books took about a $140,000 loss. |
Every square I knew was on the Broncos, every sharp on the Seahawks....so not surprised.

Lots of good Week 1 Match ups for the NFL opener in Seattle"
Here are Seattle's eight home opponents: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, and Oakland Raiders. |

My brother just returned from Vegas. He said that the wise-guys were all over the Hawks. One of his many side wagers on Seattle was for a defensive shutout which would have paid huge....
On SAT, he also ran into Toby Keith at the Wynn's Sports book and bet on his maiden "Retro Ridge" who paid $44.80 to win.... |

Don't worry ...I usually lose enough to make up for the big wins....

BTW - very nice score. |
Also, read on Twitter last night that the afternoon drive guy on the local sports radio station had heard that Seattle had Manning's hand signals, which later was reported by cbssports.com:
>>>Richard Sherman, speaking to Robert Klemko of TheMMQB.com, said the Seahawks played Manning straight up but also "jumped some routes." "All we did was play situational football," Sherman said. "We knew what route concepts they liked on different downs, so we jumped all the routes. Then we figured out the hand signals for a few of the route audibles in the first half." And then, according to Klemko, Sherman "demonstrate[s] the signs Manning used for various routes" and claimed he and his teammates were predicting the plays Manning used during the game and nailing them.<<< http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...graphing-plays I refuse to even address the preposterous notion that Denver would have been better off with Tebow. |

I expect another Seattle win over Denver next season (season opener). |
