Dallas: 3rd Time A Charm?
I wouldn't touch the game, but I am surprised that Philly is favored by 3 right now and it is in Dallas. Amazing this is the 3rd year in a row in the last game it is win and your in for them. Both the Giants and Skins I think were better teams than this Philly team....not that either of these two can beat the biggies in the NFC b/c they can't.
|
Agree strange line to see the Iggles favored on the road.
I wouldn't touch that game either. To me it kind of like playing certain p-4 or p-3s, some races you just take a stand. No "all" button for the NFL Eagles lose to the Vikes, then humiliate the Bears, well I guess the Bears did help Cowboys tried to lose from ahead again |
If both teams play like they did yesterday, I think it's a forgone conclusion who wins.
The loss to the Vikings could end up being the Birds' saving grace. Humiliated, they bounced back like a racquetball to CRUSH a team who needed the win for a division title. The defense, Minnesota game notwithstanding, has been improving markedly from week to week. Nobody in their right mind wants to oppose this team in the playoffs. Just have to get thereby stomping Dylbert and his posse of clowns. I'm ALL FOR THAT! |
Cowboys are gonna need to score 40 to win IMO. No way that Dallas defense stops Foles and McCoy. They've failed over and over again in the same kind of spot with better teams than this one, so I don't know why anyone would expect them to win Sunday.
|
Yeah the Dallas D is quite bad. I dunno, I just think sometimes teams rise up to the occasion. My point is more than this Eagles team isn't as good as the giants or Redskins last year IMO...maybe the Dallas team isn't either....but yes, if the Eagles play like last night, they win.

@mortreport: Tony Romo's MRI not good. Ruled out rest of season, per source telling @AdamSchefter

Garrett playing it close to the vest, not confirming that Romo's out. Interesting.

I understand why people are brimming with excitement after last night's win, but they still have to handle business come sunday night. It's like the fans already forget about a Matt Cassell led offense just hanging 47 (!!!) on the defense. The defense has been getting better each and every week, but when a guy named Matt Asiata scores 3 td's (and perhaps his only career td's) on you less than two weeks ago, it's at least a plausible thought that the Cowboys can hang something similar. Nothing would make me happier heading into 2014 than a 3rd straight failed attempt to shore up the division for the Cowboys at home. (Other than selling this lovely home we have for sale in Medford, NJ soon :$:) |

The defense is the problem, not the offense. Therefore, I don't think Orton will be horrible at all. They will score some points. Can they stop Philly? That's what matters
|
Now Eagles -7.5
|
Ed Werder @Edwerderespn Source says Tony Romo got epidural injection for herniated disk. Takes 2-3 days to determine effect of shot. Source very skeptical QB plays
|
Quote:
They say he needs surgery. It would shock me if the first epidural shot did enough to allow him to play. It generally takes a series, each helping a little more. Even with the first two shots, I still had to take some serious painkillers just to get around the house, and it was shooting down my leg just like his. |
Maybe Allday can pay him a visit?
|
Well, he is taking a big chance if they let him play, if that baby ruptures, he is f@#ked. good luck romo
|
Orton had a few very nice days with the Broncos. That 7.5 looks tempting.

Over 52.5 looks like a lock.

That's a lot of points. I would think without Romo, they will run it more if they can.

that's what makes a market Joe Joe. Could be 54 by gametime...I won't touch it. I will root for Dallas as Austin's wife to be is the godmother of my daughter. Other than that I don't care.
|
Now down to 6...Romo doubtful.

Ruse is one of my favorite words, especially when used without "clever."

I think Orton will play fine. He won't decide the game.
|
Would love to see the school teacher, Kitna, get in and make an impact in the game. Guy donated his gameday salary to the school at which he teaches.

3rd time was a charm all right. Watching the jj train wreck never gets old, loved the premature celebration.

i root for the eagles twice a year. loved the orton pick to seal the deal. |
Orton played pretty well, there is only one problem in Dallas and it never disappoints. :D

jerry jones would do the team a huge favor if he'd just fire his gm. too bad he can't recognize the guy is the worst gm in all of football. :p |
|
Very bad pass late. The other one was not his fault. Under was the play as the public gets it wrong again.
