I played two on ESPN where we used to be. One the first one, and am faring pretty badly in this years version. Thats batting .500 I guess.
I'm trying to figure out tickets that will actually be played. And if you were on the old board you would know my thoughts and feelings about winner picking contests. They are usless as far as i am concerned. I like things like tri's, exactas, pik-3's and pk-4's. Rarely if ever will make a win, place bet on a horse. The only two I particpated on at ESPN involved having a set bankroll and being able to play the races in whatever style you wanted, not just win place.
Everyone who knows me from the old board knows I don't do winner picking contests.

I understand not playing in the daily ones but there is a big one here that has like 35 people in it. I guess losing it would hurt your ego. My goal is to just avoid last place.

Whats the big one? I swear I wasn't even aware of that one. Like i said, I don't do many of those and therefore I dont read teh contest thread. If its a money management one with wagering on anything available, I'll get in.

No interest whatsoever. Magic's $6 per race contest yes. I'm also the most recent ESPN Board members Citgo Pick 6 winner. Anything else is too time consuming, but good luck in it.

oracle80 06-09-2006 02:35 PM

Hooves we took out the 5 in the 2nd leg, went with only 2,3
and took the 4 out of the 10th. Good luck with yours as well.

oracle80 06-09-2006 02:38 PM

Forget it Hooves, won't pay worth a damn now. I thought the 2 had the 3 reeled in. 4-5 and 7-5. Whoopee.

randallscott35 06-09-2006 02:45 PM

I bet a ton on the 2 in that race. Brutal not getting passed. Brutal.

Tell em about it Randy. Instead of hoping you can hit a decent one, I go to hoping IF we hit it that its enough to pay for the 576 that was spent. Brutal, first two winners ceratinly had a right to win, but I thought at least one of them would go down. Blah.

We are both still alive bro. You have the same single as we do and we both have the 12 in the next leg, chance we could both be alive into the last leg.

Exceller, when I was a kid you could put a quarter in one of those gumball type machines and get these little superballs. You would take em home and bounce them on the pavement and they would bounce incredibly high.
Hello Liberty is gonna bounce harder than one of those little balls. To the moon Alice.

hoovesupsideyourhead 06-09-2006 03:32 PM

He can bounce as long as Ermine and Adieu run 1-2 but I still am putting Hello Liberty in my 3 horse exacta box.

hoovesupsideyourhead 06-09-2006 03:42 PM

Crown@club 06-09-2006 04:14 PM

Sorry about the Pick 6 Mike,

But that was cool that Kiaran talked to other trainers and let his winning horse run w/o a shoe.

hoovesupsideyourhead 06-09-2006 04:19 PM

oh man thats a kick in the balls.did you see the payouts.........mike 1-888-566-1245..suicide hotline..lol

oracle80 06-09-2006 04:19 PM

Dead as a doornail. Weird race huh hooves? Those two guys going out like that and going real wide down teh backside? Strange to say the least.

Exceller 06-09-2006 04:20 PM

You still might get something for 5. The prices for the 6 are pretty big, but everyone probably used Khalia as as single.

9 was actually my 2nd choice in the race. But like I tried to tell ATeam earlier, adding just "one horse: in a race like this one doubles teh cost of the ticket, You go from 576 to 1152.

oracle80 06-09-2006 04:47 PM

**** hooves, it paid 38,446 bucks, I dont know if we will get even on 5 outta 6, we only have it once, I doubt it.
really no way I could had it with the budget today. WOulod have to have doubled the ticket by going two deep in the 8th. Hated gams as she only had 3 works off the layoff, and swap wasnt gonna getup going 6. Buddy asked me who I feared and I said Capote. Couldnt find a way to work the ticket to afford to get her in.
Have to get em tomorrow.

Crown@club 06-09-2006 04:50 PM

Nice Crappy Exacta in the finale

6-1 and 7-1 and the exacta pays 38.25?!!!!!!!!! At least a nice tri at 598.00
