Game On Dud

Enough of this horse. On the big stage again and he doesn't show. I look forward to him being odds on yet again next year.

He did finish second in this race two years ago, but he does need things his own way to run his best.

He still is pretty good.

He's pretty overrated. He wins the races he's supposed to win.

Thats not a bad quality.

I was one person that had a negative take on the Pacific Classic win. But he will likely win all the CA races again before losing in the Classic next year.

Yesterday was the last BC race he'll be the favorite for, no matter if he wins by 3+ lengths in each of his '14 races leading up to the BC.

I'm still in shock of being on the good side of photo finishes and steward's calls. Finally.

He was 8/5 today. Doesn't that qualify as supposed to win?

What? No this has been my opinion for a while. I didn't think much of that Pacific Classic field except for Dullahan, and Dullahan came out of the race injured.

I even posted on PA before the Classic that the horses coming out of the Pacific Classic weren't winning. Byrama lost, and You Know I Know lost as well.

I've never liked Game on Dude, ever, actually. I'm biased against the horse, but it's always been my own opinion.

Seattleallstar 11-03-2013 02:37 AM

Still a nice horse but not that good, winning grade 1 races beating up on grade 3 horses while having it go all your way.

no.

Another thing to keep in mind- his record at 1 1/4 miles is questionable. Also I did wonder what we really knew by him beating up on Paynter, Kettle Corn and Richard's Kid this year.

I included him in all exotics yesterday, but was hoping he'd throw a clunker because of the odds. Great horse, but maybe as much as the lack of competition I think he may be a 1 1/8 horse too.

Lava Man 2.0, except he doesn't have the shipping excuse.

10 pnt move up 11-03-2013 12:17 PM

The pace was so slow and he folded after 7 furlongs or so, it was so far below par for him I would not be surprised if there is a problem. He ran better last year under worse circumstances.

I think Lava Man was a better horse but a good comparison.

10 pnt move up 11-03-2013 12:36 PM

Not sure how anyone could watch this race and say this horse can't run well shipping or run well in top class.

The other speed ran 7, 10 and 11. He ran the other speed into the ground and got caught late. I thought it was an excellent effort.

He needs to be on the lead and clear but he is a pretty solid horse.

And you say this because?

Timeform has already done the figures, and it was slow, I wont say a crawl but well below par for what was expected.

Moss had it above par. . . What do you mean by "what was expected?" Wasn't a crazy-fast pace expected? Don't think we got that, but definitely didn't get a slow pace.

Where are the moss figures, would like to look at them for a differing opinion?
