What are the odds that fast Bullet actually shows up for this? After all, he may need more rest.

Interesting to see Saratoga Snacks take on the big boys as well. This will be a real acid test.

Baffert has planned on sending Paynter/Fast Bullet for about a month, so appears very likely. Plus, these are stakes coord Andrew Byrnes' probables.

Snacks doing very well.. Was not 100% himself for Morrissey but a biting, rearing terror of late.

cmorioles 08-26-2013 03:13 PM

The Woodward is monstrous.

randallscott35 08-26-2013 03:40 PM

astounding we are at closing week already...never felt faster

Was Fast Bullet transferred to Lukas or is he just stabling with him?

RockHardTen1985 08-26-2013 03:48 PM

Drf said Lukas.

First year since they moved it it is even better than the Whitney and got most of the ones from that race to run again, which was likely the plan from the start.

And how about Wired Bryan going in all 3 2yo stakes. Half step better and he'd be going for the sweep. Been a great meet this year.

'Fast bullet is in the air on his way to Saratoga. Will be in the barn of Wayne Lukas.'

haven't seen anything saying it's a switch.

Kasept 08-27-2013 10:03 AM

@DRFGrening: In light of Lezcano's injury, some updated rider assignments. Javier on Ron the Greek in Woodward. Leparoux on Turallure in Bernard Baruch..

The Devil 08-28-2013 06:09 AM

Listening to the show, sounds like Charlie might not run.

Sightseek 08-28-2013 08:46 AM

Cross Traffic will not enter. JCGC next.

I agree with you're overall point, but can you blame him for ducking Paynter? I think he is ready to explode on dirt. Now we get to see Cross Traffic vs Palice Malice and Orb in the JCGC?

Maybe he learned from Verrazano needing more time between races.

What's the deal with DWL getting Fast Bullet? Bafferts' got to be a little bit p o'd. Maybe Zayat is tired of Baffert running him every couple of months, and wants to see him run more often...Give us the real reason, Steve...

Unlike what Danzig said above the horse is now with Lukas. Last week on drf it was said. The article said something along the lines of Zayat having horses w/ Lukas and having a good realtionship. Plus if the horse was not with Lukas why would the other 2 Bafferts running Saturday be listed as Bob? Like I said earlier in this thread, Fast Bullet is now with D. Wayne.

TouchOfGrey 08-29-2013 08:18 AM

Fort Larned Out...

In 2013 this should never happen.

Sightseek 08-31-2013 10:26 AM

No complaints on the meet, I just want to get on the darn website!

I want to see the start again, you could hear a bunch of the Assistant Starters yelling "no, no, no" and they opened the gate. Seemed Paynter wasn't ready which changed the entire race.

Wasn't that Paynter wasn't ready though he was a little flat-footed. Velazquez beat the gate with Alpha who more or less lunged forward a beat before the gates sprung.

I just saw the replay, the start looked fair. Agree Paynter was a little flat-footed out of the gate.
