Alabama Stakes 04-09-2013 12:27 AM

Triple Crown

Welcome aboard. History will be made.

tywizard 04-09-2013 12:40 AM

I liked the same connections last year (didn't work out too well) and despite my better judgement I keep landing back on Revolutionary.

Nevertheless, count me in for now.

How much?

RockHardTen1985 04-09-2013 10:08 AM

I think Oxbow has as good a shot as anyone.

tanner12oz 04-09-2013 01:28 PM

this is a classy animal and has gotten a helluva lot less fanfare then some of the others....for whatever reason i think he is slightly under the radar....not off the map but sneaky good

That is how Evening Attire broke, not Revolutionary. You always wanted to "Caption Contest" photos of Evening Attire breaking from the gate. Love that horse.

The link won't work for me but those are some of my favorite races... watching him give everyone a head start. :)

Darn it! The photo is padlocked to linking. :L:

Alabama Stakes 04-11-2013 10:34 PM

Javier Castellano. He will never recover.

maybe the new jock will be able to get him out of the gate and up into the race

Castellano getting off a future triple crown winner to ride some hoss who sucked up to be second in the Wood. I have seen some idiot moves in my day, but this one takes the cake. Wonder what Walden makes of this, or if he is behind it ?

You should call him and find out. Did they consult with you on possible replacements?

Da Mook

that's all you have to say on the subject ? you are slipping into irrelevance

Rosie for the Roses...Whole Lotta Rosie.

Here comes Revolutionary with no warning. Arrives at the eighth pole in front like the morning. Sound the alarm it's a new track record.

RockHardTen1985 04-12-2013 06:02 AM

I like your style and everything, but Rosie over Javier? Is that official they went with Rosie? I think shes a horrible rider. I dont like anything about her as a rider. Shes pretty though. One would think Todd would reach out to Calvin, seems almost 2 obvious.

Alabama Stakes 04-12-2013 06:05 AM

feel good story that would rile Dahorse...:D

plus good karma would be with us !

There is no story if they put Rosie up. I dont love his chances anyway, but much less with her. You gotta get on the Oxbow train. We can ride the Oxbow train together.

I love the slipping into irrelevance stuff. You should get a bigger signature.

It doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME," enough. Those of us that are relevant don't need to do stuff like that.

Joe, seriously, what is so enthralling about this horse? You know I have a great deal of respect for your opinions, as we usually see eye to eye, but I'm simply not finding anything at all to like about him - curious what is so great? He looks a distance-challenged, cheap speed horse that needs the lead to me.

Overanalyze is the horse to beat in my opinion here, unless War Academy moves up severely.

i think war academy is only getting a lot of notice because he's bafferts. his resume doesn't scream 'arkansas derby favorite'.

Alabama Stakes 04-12-2013 12:16 PM

a new low

tanner12oz 04-12-2013 01:10 PM

I will go out on a limb and surmise he thinks he has a better chance to win the Derby on Normandy Invasion.

tanner12oz 04-12-2013 01:53 PM

i know it's about being the best come derby day but i would like my derby pick to have won a stakes race at this point.....

Alabama Stakes 04-12-2013 02:15 PM

Well Normandy Invasion "almost" won the Wood, passing a tired 1 1/16 hoss to be second.

Castellano had barely jumped off Normandy Invasion Saturday and he and his agent Matt Muziker were talking about sticking with him. They have ties to Chad Brown as established as those to Pletcher. Normandy Invasion is the 'now' horse. It's where I'd have gone if I was a jock's agent in that position.

Revolutionary would be a good fit for Jose Lezcano but his agent Jason Beides makes it sound like the WinStar camp is looking elsewhere.

Hat in ring but they're considering several.

Other than Golden Cents who are the speeds this year? Paceless Derby because of the new system that won’t allow straight sprinters in unless they routed already and earned points. This horse could pull a relatively easy trip sitting 3rd or 4th off a 47 half. Oxbow has tactical speed. He collapsed the race the other Lukas horse beat him in with a premature move and still ran on well. Distance is the thing I like most about him. I believe he will love the 10f. I also like War Academy. I think War Academy can beat him Saturday. I like them both in the Derby to be honest. I’m not sold on anything Todd has.

Castellano wasn't thrilled when he learned that Alabama Stakes couldn't get "Crazy Fingers" to agree to a year's worth of free braids for the jockey who rides Revolutionary.

I didn't take a pot shot at a 4 year old. I said your signature was big and screamed "look at me."

At least you're back to begging me for picks. It's what you're good at. well, that and being a douche.

Quite a combo.

begging ? you couldn't pick Dave Monaci out of a roomful of marathoners right now.

you are losing this thread badly. no insight whatsoever. Calling someone a douche on the internet is the equivalent of saying I ain't afraid of you to a man with handcuffs on. The board is laughing at you mooky.

Sorry I had her deported after a less than stellar braid. I lopped it off, didn't need her anymore.

You have no idea what you are talking about, but at least 5-10 people can verify I've been red hot recently.

See what you have been missing out on. Not smart enough to keep that fat mouth of yours shut. Always have to put your foot in it. Oh well.

Still laughing, you think?
