HRTV audio added to SXM lineup
As hinted for the past couple of months, HRTV's audio stream has been added to the Sirius 93, XM 209 & SportsZone 961 channels augmenting ATR, HRRN and Down the Stretch for virtual 24 hour horse racing and equine sport coverage...

209 still has the repetitive sports programing babble.

Steve,
You are not on Sirius/XM internet 961 this morning. New channel? |
Still business as usual on Sirius 93; ESPN Chicago still comes on at 10am.
|
It is on now.
|
Today (after 10AM) my Sirius radio is tuned to 93, and the screen is saying "At The Races...", but the audio is still ESPN Chicago.
|
The display on my Sirius receiver says HRTV, but the audio is still ESPN Chigago. I just wrote to Sirius to see what was up, but does anyone here have any ideas?
|
Steve,
What's the deal on this? They never changed. |

XM 209 has never played HRTV on any channel to my knowledge so far, you get Steve in the AM and replay's, the pre race card Saturday people, occasionally weekend racing via the horse racing radio network but never HRTV unless they are using another channel other than XM 209. TVG is long gone off XM as far as I can tell... Satellite sports on the radio is still an ugly mess since the merger now with the loss of NFL Network's programming on mobile devices and the continued record setting underperforming of their third world based customer service at least for customers who signed up initially for XM. Maybe with the new year things will get cleaned up a bit but I wouldn't hold my breath.... |

I've heard HRTV on 209, the problem for me is that on weekends after DTS it's just the "what's on sirius sports radio" ad infinitum that is played on at least 5 channels.
|
No HRTV feed on Sirius 93...
|
As some are saying, I'm getting the switch over to Chicago and NY espn feeds and Waddle and whatever and not these great horsey shows my ears want to hear. Not as you say.

I've been away now 10 days, but I'm sure the XM in my Buick and the Stiletto Sirius boombox in the house both had the HR feed over the holidays... I'll check with New York soon as I get a chance for exact schedule. |
FYI this is what we get in Tampa on Sirius 93:
6:00 AM - 9:00 AM = Previous Day's ATR 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM = Live ATR 10:00 AM - 2PM - Waddles and Slappy (Chicago ESPN I believe) 2PM - 4PM - Lupica 4PM - 7PM sometimes HRRN (usually Thursday and Friday or just Friday) mostly Don LaGreca and Michael Kay On Sunday I think they played HRTV's feed in between college basketball. |

It hasn't changed, save for a special program every now and again, or technical glitches. I personally haven't listened to more than 5 minutes of Werbles and Silvy over that period of time, but I digress. Lupica is actually only on for ONE hour. He is so ANNOYING at times, perhaps it seems like 2 or more, and it is actually not even live anymore (not that that makes any difference). And don't get me started about Kay, that guy has been a douche ever since I first heard him on Fordham Universitys' WFUV too many years ago for me to admit. Sorry, I lost the topic... Yes, we don't get any HRTV on Sirius channel 93.:o |
more importantly is that Rex? :D

What's an "Original Sirius subscriber"? I've had a subscription since before Howard Stern but don't understand how the programming would be any different for someone purchasing a subscription today. Does it have anything to do with the actual equipment? I had to replace the XM radio tuner module with a Sirius one to get it in my GMC maybe? |

If you had XM before the merger or purchase the Sirius/XM product since the merger you get the full horse racing programming on #209. T |
Yep. That's right.
