I was wondering, is there still a $5 million bonus to any horse that sweeps the Southwest, Rebel, Arkansas Derby and Kentucky Derby? Of so, wouldn't both Secret Circle and Castaway be pointed back to the Rebel?
Also, wondering if Creative Cause will come right back in the San Felipe or wait for the SA Derby? |

He could always change their mind, but he's not their only horse or first horse on the Derby trail, so the fever's tempered with a bit of wisdom. (PS. No pun intended, I swear.) |

I still can't figure out where Baffert is going with Bodemeister.
I don't see him shipping to Oaklawn to take on BB's pair of Southwest winners but, he has to show up somewhere. |

No love for Louisiana Derby 04/01/2012?
FG management totally mismanaged this year. Same weekend as Final Four in Big Easy. No rooms available. I can drive 40 miles out of town and stay for $169 per night! My usual $109 room at Hampton Inn was sold out long ago and at much higher price. Also, FG is splitting FG Oaks from Louisiana Derby again this year. If I go I will just drive in for Sunday Derby and drive out. Leaning toward closer-to-home OTB with free drinks. Last rant item -- FG reintroduced admission fee for its "premier" days last season. Other three Louisiana tracks NEVER charge admission! |
Prospective wins Pasco.
