Princess Arabella hurt?
Had a friend mention to me that he heard she got hurt, but I cannot find anything to verify that, other than her workout pattern. She raced in early January, worked on 1/12 and then 1/20.
Has anyone heard anything? |
I haven't heard anything.
The one I'm looking for news on is Deluxe cause there have been rumors... can't find a thing on either girl. |

I really was hoping Princess Arabella would last at least 3-4 starts before the wheels fall off, but... Her lone start was the most impressive maiden win by a filly that I can recall since R2R (2nd start) or Zenyatta. |
according to Juddmontes facebook page there is a death report on Deluxe

Just for that Byk, I'm going to ask where she is every 9th day, before her scheduled workout.

In retrospect, this thread had it all. A gush about an A.P. Indy-related runner, a (unsubstantiated) death notice via MMSC, bad "insider" info, a Facebook reference, a squabble between posters, a trophy emoticon, Zenyatta, and a resounding lack of accountability when the truth emerges. The only things missing to complete the DT microcosm were a photo from Coach, a pubmed link from Riot, and an incoherent x-rated analysis from freddymo. |

Too bad. She was a nice horse. Quote:
(I did think some of your comments were funny though). |

It was the way he delivered it that made it so.. pithy. |

However, now I really am going to gush exuberantly over this filly when given the chance. That debut really was spectacular. |

Worked again today, 7 furlongs in 1:24 flat

I fully expect the form of the Santa Ysabel-Hollywood Starlet-Sharp Cat Stakes to be murdered to shreds once these two fillies and Reneesgotzip reappear. |

Could be a Derby won by a filly this year. |
Returns Sunday, SA race 2, 7 Furlongs
|
In what was pretty much a parimutuel work-out, she wins handily going 7f in 1:22 and 1. Broke much better, but still rated while 3 wide, took over and won while being encouraged, but still hand ridden.
|
Yeah. She beat absolutely nothing at odds of 1-to-9 and a Cal Bred Maiden Claiming race will get a slightly better number in the 1st.
Clear trip. She was merely hand-ridden but a top class 7f young female should have been a lot more impressive with similar handling. |

A filly with My Miss Areilua type ability at 7fs would have left those easily and won under far more restraint. |
