To Chuck...

How do you feel about Miami getting RG3 at #9? I love it big guy. Its a game changer, a franchise player.

How is to early? I think it would be the best thing to happen to the Dolphins in the last 15 years. RG3 has it all, plus he won the Heisman. I think he will sell tickets, lots of tickets. He is well spoken, and a leader. I have a man crush.

he still has a year of college eligibility left if he decides to stay at baylor too early. when did he announce he was entering the draft?

And he might blow out his knee in a bowl game. In Miami only 1 thing sells tickets, winning. Being well spoken isnt really what I am concerned with. It is too early to start talking NFL draft because we dont know what players are in, dont know where anyone (except Green Bay and Indy) is drafting and who else James Harrison is going to maim (you know team needs)

Stop it Chuck. The guy is the franchise already. As a Pat fan, Im scared if Miami gets him. It wont be a Tebow like situation where there is 0 offensive skill talent around him. Miami still has a top 10 WR, and a RB who at times can be explosive. Plus a rookie RB who I like, he just needs to get healthy.

As a Pats fan, there are plenty of other things you should be scared about other than the Fish getting RG3.

Like what? I dont think Buffalo is much. Sanchez will never win a Championship and they D is not the same this year, even Jet fans are saying that. Brady has another 2-5 prime years. We will draft to load up the D, on O we need a WR thats it.

You can have the division, but unless they seriously address that defense they aren't going anywhere.

Ravens, Steelers and Texans (even with the QB issue) should be high on their list of things to be weary of.

I have said it 15x since my return, I believe in the Ravens this year. They are more likely then my Pats. We will beat Pittsburg and Houston, especially at NE. I doubt the Texans win out, and it looks like they will have to do that to have a bye. Texans are 1 and done. Texans get beat at home this weekend by the Carolina Newtons.

alysheba4 12-16-2011 02:32 PM

not so fast....texans are for real.

Do you watch the NFL? Wr's and RB's are basically interchangable as long as you have a good off coordinator, a solid line and a QB who isnt a turnover machine. The Pats dont have a single RB or WR who would be considered a star outside of NE. Put Welker on the Bears or Titans and he makes 50 catches a year and is playing special teams.

clyde 12-16-2011 03:16 PM

I have seen some more photos of you here at NT.

Wow.

You're really big.

My address that I have posted here many times----I moved.

Really really hoping they can hold on and this game moneyline. I made 2 1pm bets and its Panthers and Panthers ML.

hi_im_god 12-22-2011 06:21 PM

barkley's going back to usc so i assume that whatever team was projected to take him will now draft rg3 too early.

it's still too early to speculate they'll actually take this ot too early.

Kind of bad when a coach decides to go to a 2-14 team instead of your team.

Realistically Hoss St.Louis has more weapons and injuries destroyed them this year.

I think it's more of a case of Fisher, being the GM or having a stronger say in personnel. Like Bill Parcells used to say,
Quote:

"If I'm going to be asked to cook the meal, I'd like to be able to pick the groceries."
Besides, I think the guy who owns the Dolphins is a lunatic.

Danzig 01-13-2012 03:04 PM

i'd have chosen the same way.

hi_im_god 01-13-2012 03:07 PM

i thought he might wait to see if the colts fired caldwell.

That's all you got? lol

I'm kind of happy he didn't come because perhaps the owner will realize that he needs one guy to call the shots and that top coaches aren't going to be comfortable with the current situation. Ireland needs to either be the boss or be replaced.

He is a tool. Needs to hire someone to run the ship and shut up and write checks and go hang out with his "celeb" friends in the owners box

Joe Philbin? Really Chuck? I'll admit that I don't know much about the guy, but I really can't believe that they didn't get a "name guy" for the job. I just feel that unless Philbin kills it in his first season, that crazy owner will just go after the shiniest penny after the end of next season.

GBBob 01-21-2012 09:01 AM

Good for Philbin...tragic month for his family but something positive can't hurt.

I'm happy that they didnt go for the "name" guy just for popularity sake. I don't know that anyone can really tell if a guy is going to be a good or bad coach when they have no track record. Losing Nolan as Def coordinator might actually be the bigger coaching move though he obviously wants another shot at being a HC and knows it wont happen in Miami.

With the Dolphins D and now someone with his offensive background Dolphins fans should be more than happy. Why take a retread?

Dahoss 01-21-2012 12:46 PM

Hasn't Mike McCarthy been calling the plays all along for Green Bay? Good for Philbin and as Bob says they needed a positive, but this hire seemed like a stretch at best.
