That Belmont card was devistated by off the turf and scratches:

Keeneland is off the turf which is somewhat baffling since the next race they will run on it will be in six months. Did they actually get enough rain to make it unsafe?

There was a frost last night, but still.. Agree it's a little silly.

So, I see from your Work Tab thread that Churchill had works on the grass this morning and still Keeneland (75 miles to the East) is off the turf. The sun is out and their first turf race is approximately 6 hours of sunshine after the CD turf works.

Nice, Steve! :$:

Haven't had time to cap today, got home just before Keeneland 7th and punched your pk4. Saw you liked Bergerac, took a quick look and threw $20 on the nose! Let's get this pk4 home! Thanks and keep up the great work!

pointman 10-29-2011 05:04 PM

Way to close Keeneland out, Steve! :$:

Bogey 10-29-2011 05:23 PM

Congrats Steve!!!! Great work on closing day.

ScottJ 10-29-2011 05:31 PM

To quote Chico Escuela, "Bergerac been berry berry good to Chico" ... well done, Steve! Way to nail the single and the Saratoga follow-up! Makes this pre-Halloween storm almost tolerable ... and a nice pre-BC booster!

Kasept 10-29-2011 09:29 PM

Nick, Gus, Scott..

THX! Just back from dinner downtown. Took all meet to find something solid. Nothing good at SA and gave some back.... Hope all did OK!

Looking forward to Churchill opener Sunday and the nice baby card. Have to be over there by 6a for what is going to be a busy worktab. Talk tomorrow!

MaTH716 10-30-2011 08:46 AM

Way to close it out Steve, Congrats!

Sorry, Tom. I assure you, the only thing you missed was watching Brian play with equipment that was around when Old Tom Morris was winning Open Championships.

first off, who the hell is Tom Morris?

Tom the only thing you missed was a grown man wearing rain pants 2 hours after it stopped raining b/c he was having a Cadyshack moment of "the round of my life". Dave and I are sweating bullets and this guy was walking around with black nylon pants on.

the same guy might or might not have been playing the date double at MTR on the same night.

^^^ 2 haters. Just because my rain paints are lucky in 90 degree heat:o, that's no reason to be jealous.

And if you really have to ask who Old Tom Morris is...

3kings 11-02-2011 04:22 PM

Lol! This is why I'm sorry I missed it. Next year I'm in, just let me know when.
