Rugby World Cup 2011
![]() 19 days to go! Who's excited? Anyone? |
I am excited. Can't wait to hear "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" sung many times...
|
Good luck! Samoa might be a tough challenge for you, considering their history against you in World Cups and their win against Aussie this year. But I hope you do well. Wales are an awesome team to watch.
I've got a ticket for the first game of the tournament. So excited. The noise from the crowd of 62,000 when the men in black come onto the field for the first time is gonna be something I'll never forget. |
Happy for you,Eddie....you know that.
Just wish you could have attracted better than Ryan. A shame, really. |
|
It's getting worse,Eddie.
Have Stevie vaporize this. |

Oh my God.
They have no spaceships...and they have no shame. |
Ed, who are New Zealand going to choke against this year? France? England? South Africa? Ireland :) :)
Ye guys should win, but we have been saying that in pretty much every world cup since 1987!!! |
Just when you think it can get no worse..........

I do think this is the strongest NZ World Cup squad we've had since I started following rugby in '99. There's some incredible talent in the backs. And it's the most experienced team we've ever had in a World Cup, which should help when it comes to handling the pressure. But no one can deny that choking has been a huge problem for us in the past, and the pressure and expectation is so huge this time that you have to say there's a risk of it happening again. Hope not, though! |
NZ squad:
Corey Flynn, Andrew Hore, Keven Mealamu, John Afoa, Ben Franks, Owen Franks, Tony Woodcock, Anthony Boric, Brad Thorn, Samuel Whitelock, Ali Williams, Jerome Kaino, Richie McCaw (capt), Kieran Read, Adam Thomson, Victor Vito, Jimmy Cowan, Andy Ellis, Piri Weepu, Daniel Carter, Colin Slade, Richard Kahui, Ma'a Nonu, Conrad Smith, Sonny Bill Williams, Israel Dagg, Zac Guildford, Cory Jane, Mils Muliaina, Isaia Toeava Good luck, guys. |
Weather Absolute Sh$T here at Mo !!!! ...All Blacks should feel @ Home for Sats Game !!!!:D
|
|
The excitement is really building now. Everywhere you look in Auckland there's hundreds of flags. 7000 people went to meet the Tongan team at the airport yesterday!
It sounds like the fireworks over the harbour on Friday will be awesome. I'll be at the stadium so won't see them, but the opening ceremony at Eden Park should be good too. And I can't wait until kick-off in the first game. |
NZ's starting lineup for the Tonga game:
Backs: Israel Dagg, Richard Kahui, Ma'a Nonu, Sonny Bill Williams, Isaia Toeava, Dan Carter, Jimmy Cowan Forwards: Victor Vito, Richie McCaw (captain), Jerome Kaino, Ali Williams, Brad Thorn, Owen Franks, Andrew Hore, Tony Woodcock Reserves: Cory Jane, Colin Slade, Piri Weepu, Sam Whitelock, Anthony Boric, Ben Franks, Corey Flynn Conrad Smith unlucky. |

New Zealand's legal brothels gear up for busy World Cup
http://www.japantoday.com/category/w...busy-world-cup This was my favorite line... :D “The English are known to be particularly deviant,” she said, citing the public school background of many England rugby fans. “Whenever I hear an English accent I know there’ll be some good business there.” |

How many dollah fo' love long time? |
It was closer than we thought - 41-10. After an excellent first half, after which we led 29-3, we should have put up a bigger score than that. But it wasn't a bad performance. I thought Kahui was excellent.
|
I watched a little of NZ-Tonga. I didn't realize that Rugby is more or less organized Smear the queer. Those guys are nuts
