Congrats! You now train...

... Rahy's Attorney.

I like this horse and his trainer as well but it seems like he keeps beating the same crowd over and over.

http://www1.drf.com/drfPDFChartRaces...=20110603&RN=8

So now he's yours.

Where are you gonna point him to?

Coach Pants 06-04-2011 10:36 PM

Keep him at Woodbine and only run him on firm courses.

Mike 06-05-2011 10:30 AM

Looks great beating that last G III field at Gulfstream.

Just move to Florida with the old bastard.

my miss storm cat 06-07-2011 02:21 PM

This is a few days late but I missed it.

He's pointed to the Singspiel Stakes on Queen's Plate Day.

Thoughts?

Dear Grumpy...

The first time I ever saw that race was in 2004. Better Talk Now won, Request for Parole and Silverfoot were in the field.

I remember poor King's Drama winning over Relaxed Gesture, the tines Telling won and that other horse whose name I blanked out on cause I didn't have him either year :D (Grand Couturier - sp?).

So the race this year... maybe the field isn't as good as other years BUT you've got to appreciate what you're given, right?

I'm a fan of nearly half the horses in the field (oh be quiet :p) so I find it kinda fun.

* * *

Hey Hooves maybe, if Musketier sits it out, he can win that one next year. :)

You are a fan of half the horse planet

my miss storm cat 08-13-2011 04:52 PM

He looked good. :)

Not quite good enough, but still.... a very nice run.

edit - The chart isn't up yet but I heard he was vanned off after the race (???).

Anyone?

my miss storm cat 08-13-2011 05:44 PM

Damnit.:(

Winchester ($7.20) last to first in Sword Dancer. Rahy's Attorney 2nd & vanned off. Al Khali 3rd. Boisterous bad 5th as 2-1 fave. #saratoga

Any updates would be appreciated.

Dr. Bramlage said that he pulled up lame, but that there were no outward signs of the cause and that he was being taken back to his stall for more thorough examination. Keeping fingers crossed.

Thanks Old Dog and yeah... fingers crossed big time.

Poor guy. My heart just sank hearing this but I suppose it could be sounding so much worse right about now so I'm grateful to hear this (although I wish I had heard he went back home and got a treat or something instead).

my miss storm cat 08-14-2011 10:30 AM

Well it says he walked into the van and is on his way back to Woodbine so I'll take that as good news. :)

Alabama Stakes 08-14-2011 10:36 AM

my miss storm cat 08-15-2011 08:56 PM

Anyone seen an official retirement notice?

(I don't do FB although I'm now addicted to checking this page).

It sounds like it, doesn't it?

Rahy's Attorney wishes to thank all his fans for their love and support over his racing career. Who would have thought the little homebred, Ontario sired, horse from Spencerville would touch the lives of so many around the world!! A true Champion!!

Sure does. I suppose we'll get the details whenever a formal announcement comes. I wonder if his trouble came during the race or the gallop out? He certainly finished well -- didn't look like he was in trouble.

my miss storm cat 08-16-2011 12:18 PM

Yeah I wonder too...

Aaah well I was waiting to see someone else say it and this is good enough, I think.

Time to add him to the retirement thread. :)

Thanks for the memories. :{>:

For anyone one who might be getting annoyed, you don't have to read this you know and hey.. this is so much better than putting his name on the very sad and terribly long angels thread so just ignore those of us who are sooooo happy he's alright.:)
