Colt Or Filly For Zenyatta

Bloodhorse hard hitting as ever. A dapple was spotted on the fetus.

http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...oal-at-60-days

According to a Mary 31 post on the Zenyatta website, the owners will not test to determine the sex of Zenyatta’s prospective foal.

This is the text of the post at Zenyatta.com:

"I hope each of you had a wonderful, restful, and peaceful holiday! This day is also a special time to remember all that Memorial Day truly represents as well.

Everything at the farm is going very, very well. I want to share with you the fabulous day I have had so far. This morning, my vets came to check me and… Yes, I am eating for two! As of this morning, I have had what is technically called my ’60 day check-up’. I am happily in foal! All is A-OK! My pregnancy is progressing nicely and the baby has a very strong heartbeat! YIPPEE!

Big deal - some fans like to follow stuff like this. So what? It's no skin off the noses of those that do not. Nice of her owners to put that out there for the fans that like it, as it was nice of Barbaro's owners to do the same.

Agreed...at least Zenyatta isn't blogging about Palin vs Obama.

Yeah, it's really sweet her owners give the crazies of the world an avenue for them to show just how looney they are. Hooray for people who like to talk to animals online!!!!!

We've honored veterans every year for decades now. It's time a real American hero got her yearly dues.

We're celebrating an awful lot of days with Zenyatta. The 60 day checkup, the days Bernardini and Zenyatta knew each other Biblically, the day the foal is born. Any others I've missed?

hey, if people like to keep up with zenyatta, good for them. i think it's the anthropomorphism that many find strange or odd. why people spend their day 'writing' as a horse, or reading such blather, is beyond me.

but then, i don't get the facebook phenomenon at all-let alone horses having pages.

She crushed Blame in the HOY vote. A victory for the ages.

LOL. Some people can't help themselves. If Zenyatta being in foal is of no concern to some of you, why in the heck do some of you respond?

For all the bitching, griping, etc. about this mare, she is retired. RETIRED.

How her connections choose to continually connect with those who care about what is going on with the mare, why in the hell do those who DON'T care seem to have to post something? Just don't do it. Ignore it. Pretend this thread doesn't exist. It really is very simple.

ateamstupid 06-01-2011 09:15 PM

No.

Puritans ruin everything. Theatrical is conditioned for the Internet 2.0. Pretty soon they'll start putting trolls in jail.

A lucid interval at zenyatta.com

"dearest zenyatta, our family is so happy with your baby news. team zenyatta had the right idea of waiting to announce the pregnancy on their own terms. we are all so concerend for your welfare and want nothing but the best for you!!! to be honest, some of your fans get a little bit NUTS over some things. they really need to get a life. you are a wonderful treasure and we do appreciate the updates on how you are doing. love the pictures of you enjoying the grass and sunshine. lots of love from our family to yours."

Emphasis mine.

What I like is people like you who bitch, whine and complain about a horse and yet, they post in threads about them. Even when they're retired.

Loon? Because I defended a retired horse? I said if people have a problem with a particular horse and they post in threads about them and want to criticize and complain about said horse, and people take exception to that, I am a loon?

You're an idiot.

ateamstupid 06-01-2011 11:57 PM

Once again: no one is complaining about or criticizing the horse. You're empathizing with people who write blog comments addressed to animals and that's what people are making fun of. Get a sense of humor.

I'm an idiot.

If that's really how you have perceived this thread to be, then yes, you really are a loon.

And you just happen to hit that rare daily double on the head. You are not only a loon, but a pretty dumb one at that.

:)

Whoa!! Stop right there. Park it,Jack. How dare you assume I am like those who particpate on blogs, etc. The blogs appeal to many people, but for you to lump me in with those folks and assume I am part of that, well, I hope you lose every bet you make. How dare you assume anything about anyone on this forum or any forum.

Byk allows assumptions on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Post that awesome comment three more times, I'm sure it'll make sense then. Take your own advice and crawl back into your hole until the Zenyattard bat signal goes up again.

LOL. You have shown me in this post you have nothing to offer.

The mare is retired. Move on to somebody else you can bitch and whine about. You have plenty to choose from.

Because I perceived this thread to read a certain way and you read it differently, well, hope you eventually remove your head out of your ass.
Sorry if I don't concur with you, but......, no, wait, I'm not sorry.

Reading? Reading what? The posts in this thread? Are you having trouble with the posts in this thread? They seem rather clear cut to me, but then I earn nearly $500,00 a day being able to read, among other things.

You got a problem with reading? Your cross to bear, not mine.

That's one of the greatest bits of insane rambling I've ever seen on the internet. Just awesome all around.

There's obviously a typo here. But I'm not sure if this was meant to be $500.00, $50,000, or $500,000, but whatever it was supposed to be....this line cracked me up.
