Name this monster.

It was a Stidam filly. I'd have to cheat to remember the name.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-04-2011 02:39 PM

Correct again.

Jaimie Sanders star - conquered Hard Spun in the Southwest and won a Grade 2 on the Belmont Stakes undercard in the Riva Ridge.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-04-2011 02:45 PM

Her half sister was better ...

Name both.

Didn't he break his maiden at Keeneland after the Breeders' Futurity and then also ran in the Juvenile? She ran him a ton. He stopped all my bets cold on that Belmont Day that I remember.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-04-2011 02:51 PM

Perhaps the only horse in history who ran in 26 straight Graded Stakes races - without ever coming within 6 lengths of winning a maiden race or alw race.

Name her.

Name her.

Looks like Hollywood Story to me.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-04-2011 02:58 PM

Correct on Hollywood Story. John Shirreffs 7th or 8th best female horse over the years from his always smallish stable.

NTamm1215 04-04-2011 02:59 PM

Keeping up with the 2006 theme.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-04-2011 03:00 PM

Eventual millionaire NY Bred won his debut by a pole.

Name him.

Probably about 100,000/1 odds

NTamm1215 04-04-2011 03:02 PM

Here's another from 2006.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-04-2011 03:04 PM

OK - one for old-timers ....

He won the first 7 races of his career by clear margins.

Name him - and the Triple Crown winner he sired.

Could only be Bold Reasoning. too many clues.

The Indomitable DrugS 04-04-2011 03:42 PM

Yep. Bold Reasoning - sire of Seattle Slew is correct.

Higher.

Doug's thread. No declaration that the theme was 2006. NTamm hadn't posted his own to that point. Probably 100+ horses that could have reasonably been chosen from even IF 2006 had been set as a category. Factor in the timing of both posts....

1,000,000 to 1

The only reasonable conclusion to draw is that Doug and Nick are the same person.
