Sweet Ducky Sold

Damn, prolly could have gotten Gourmet Dinner for the same price and he is already in the Derby.

So we got Sweet Ducky,Splash Point,Buffum all trying to make the KY Derby thru Dubai. A 2nd,3rd or 4th gets them in

Kelly Breen is probably the best pinhooker in the business

Swirling into the drain of Dubai goes Rubber Ducky

If they really liked SP or Buffum, they wouldn't have bought Sweet Ducky. It makes me wonder why they didn't at least try Biondetti, who ran a decent 4the BC, instead of sending him back to Europe.

Arletta 03-14-2011 05:45 PM

I'm just glad the chances of me having to listen to his name being called has just decreased :)

The Indomitable DrugS 03-14-2011 05:58 PM

He's going to Dubai?

This will be reflected in next Monday's update on my 'likelihood to win the Derby' thread.

His chances just diminshed from 2.0% to 0.25%. Frees up 1.75%!

NTamm1215 03-14-2011 06:03 PM

This is a shame because he was going to be a very good bet in a prep that lacked a great deal of speed. He ran a sneaky good race in the Holy Bull.

I've never seen anything like it. And it seems as if every horse the Halls buy, runs. I'm sure that's isn't true, but it sure feels that way.

It does seem that way though none of them ever seem to be able to run up to the price they are resold for.

PatCummings 03-14-2011 07:42 PM

I'm pretty sure I know who bought the horse, and trust me, no one wants to know or investigate it. Guess we'll find out for sure in the next week or so, but it won't be pleasant.

Chances of seeing him in the Kentucky Derby, if it is who I think it is...ABSOLUTELY NONE. Save yourself the .25% DrugS, just take him off the list.

If Godolphin bought the horse, you'd know it. 99.78% sure it isn't them.

Ballpark. Once we know, I'll come on and confirm if it was who I think it was. I might know late tonight or early tomorrow.

Much. The scary part is it's real.

The Indomitable DrugS 03-14-2011 10:12 PM

all I can really think about is impaling her moist, glistening fish pit.

Should I tear up my Santiva-Sweet Ducky Future Bet exacta ticket now?

She does have a pretty scary grille.

Indian Charlie 03-15-2011 12:13 AM

Who the heck is it?

PatCummings 03-15-2011 12:30 AM

Looks like my suspicions panned out. Still waiting to hear from one other person, but it's 1-9 the new owner is Ramzan Kadyrov. You're all online, you look him up.

This is like a bad James Bond movie

Dahoss 03-15-2011 01:24 PM

The Hall's will sell to anyone I guess. Let's just hope Gaddafi isn't looking to buy any horses.

My guess is the Putin puppet who owns Mikhail Glinka and others running in Dubai. Ramzan Kadyrov, charming fella.
Too late, Pat outed him.
Not a nice guy. Makes selling to sheik Mo like giving flowers to the Easter Bunny.

randallscott35 03-15-2011 02:11 PM

I'm pulling for Sweet Yucky in the future. Love him.

tjfla 03-15-2011 03:01 PM

Only Derby Sweet Ducky will be running in is the Russian Derby.

UAE Derby to the Russian Derby!!! That is the plan for him. 1 million RUBLES :D

Just like you know who! No you have to ask who and how much?

my miss storm cat 03-17-2011 12:19 PM

This lovely individual actually has his own thread... hooray. :D

http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...hlight=Monster

Thought I would mention it here though...

His horses who are presently running in Dubai include Bankable, Mikhail Glinka and Bronze Canyon.

He bought and ran Mourilyan but no one has seen him for about a year which is a shame cause he's an awfully nice horse.

Anyway if any of you enjoy rooting against people he's your guy.

Poor Ducky.

Indian Charlie 03-17-2011 01:41 PM

This guy isn't any more of a monster than British Royalty.

In fact, he's an amateur compared to them.

Yet, people kiss the Queen's ass.

I guess it helps having great PR.

my miss storm cat 03-17-2011 03:39 PM

Why are you playing naive, Charlie?

You know the horror he's caused.

The only thing Her Majesty is guilty of is having kinda strange taste in handbags.

Seriously?

You have no idea the pain and suffering that the British Royalty has brought, and still brings, to the world?

The guy you are talking about, while no saint, looks like a preschooler, comparatively speaking.

Linny 03-21-2011 01:25 PM

Looks like he's buying Gitano Hernando as well...
