I'm wondering why all those "HUGE USC" fans haev not shown up to post this year yet? Whats the deal homeboys? I mean, last year when everyone said they were unbeatable all those loud mouths were roaring.
Funny I don't see too many of those fans around flapping their gums. Were you all just fans because they looked so invincible? Or are you all still having nightmares and waking up in cold sweats because that "genius" Pete carroll not only went for it on 4th down, he didn't even have Bush in as a decoy!! Come to think of it, I haven't seen any articles about what a "genius" Pete Carroll is either. Now what the hell is going on here? My best guess is that most of them are still waking up from bad dreams where Vince Young is hugging the mascot.

Sad thing...I watched it for the 4th on....I don't think Temple has covered the spread in about 2 years now.

grew up a penn st fan, and still cheer on my nittany lions...but when we moved south, i decided to get a team closer to my new home.

lol @ usc--guaranteed a win in their season opener, against the arkansas russian boars. those effers, how i love to root agains them. and i will be in the stands once again for the lsu/ark game. it's in little rock this year....wish they played it in shreveport every year, so next year it'll be the game and then the fairgrounds. now that's an exacta!

MINNESOTA! MINNESOTA... ****, I don't remember the rest of it lol. I can always take pride in my beloved Gohpers for about 2-3 cupcake games they play at the beginning of the year... and then the Big Ten schedule starts and they get put in their place.

Next Saturday they play Cal, at Cal. All the Minnesota fans were expecting the Gophers to get worked by Cal before Cal played Tennessee. Now there's some optimism that maybe Minnesota will play Cal tough. As a life-long Gophers fan, so in turn, a life-long pessimist, think that Cal gettin beat down like that by Tennessee could be the worst thing that could happen for Minnesota.Cal is gonna be hungry to take that loss out on on someone.

If the Gophers keep it within 3 touchdowns next week, I'll be a happy camper. Minnesota is the only place where their fans can be happy with a 7-5 record lol. Why? Because it's better than all the 3-8 records they had before Glen Mason become coach.

Just shows how smart the Bama boys are that you direct that comment to a guy whose name refers to Notre Dame! :p

What the heck does a Red Tide (a poisonous) algal bloom have to do with pachyderms? Elephants and algae. War Eagles and Tigers. What the heck is the mix up in the state of Alabama? How come teams are allowed to have like 5 mascots, and some can be nasty microscopic organisms?

Well, I'm not sure about auburn, nor do I care. Alabama's varsity squad was known as the "Crimson White" (their jersey color) but a Birmingham sports writer said before an auburn game, the players looked like a "Sea of Crimson" rushing into the stadium and the nickname, The Crimson Tide, was born. The Elephant was also attributed to a sports writer from Atlanta, as UA was playing Ole Miss, and he stated it felt like the earth was trembling as the "Red Elephants" stormed in. The names stuck. As for the fight song, well, most are dated, it is what it is, but still gets my heart pumping everytime I hear it.

USC is the best team in the land! Last time I rooted for my school (UW) was in 2001. One time my 3rd year during the Apple Cup weekend, I wore a WSU sweater to classes...STUPID MOVE!!

well I tried to walk on the football team in 2001, and went to open tryouts for basketball in 2002. I didnt have time for the bowling program that was started in 2003. So Husky athletics leave a sour taste in my mouth...lol
