Warm wishes to all on Thanksgiving!

I know this is the 3rd or 4th Thanksgiving thread, but I've always offered a note of thanks on this day, so...

Best wishes to everyone and their families today for a joyful Thanksgiving. It's one of the special days of the year in this country, and no matter how difficult things may be in anyone's particular situation, in racing or the greater scope, there are plenty of blessings for which we should be thankful.

Thanks for everyone's contributions as Derby Trailers and Dee Teers, as we continue to have what I think is racing's best and most convivial online and on track community. Enjoy the day no matter where you are or what your doing. Be kind to each other and those with whom you share the day.

With great appreciation,
Steve

Thanks, Steve.

I would like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all Dee Tee'ers and website enthusiasts. May the season be peaceful and joyous for you and your loved ones. I would add that we should all try to be thankful for everything we have especially the liberties that we enjoy in this great nation of ours.

And, from a racing note, in looking to the close of 2010 and a new racing year ahead, in the words of the great Harvey Pack, may the horse be with you !!!

Enjoy !!

I'd like to thank the Native Americans for having weak immune systems and insufficient weaponry.

We're the greatest nation on earth! Woot!

I started a thread in Eso which has promptly gone down the ol' crapper, so I'll just wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving here and hope it doesn't get side swiped.

I'm home, I'm cooking - 5 guests for dinner, 2 of which are Marines from the local base who can't make it home for Thanksgiving. They're spending it with us, and we're proud and happy to have them.

God bless everyone.

Danzig 11-25-2010 07:46 AM

Long article in last months National Geographic about Eels...interesting animals.

Happy Thanksgiving to all DT'ers and posters on this board!

This has all the potential of being the least disfunctional family Thanksgiving ever. I am very thankful for that amongst many, many other things.

Best to all!

Playing some golf today before the big dinner, even though its a chilly 59 here in the Phoenix area. Happy Holidays.

cal828 11-25-2010 10:02 AM

Enjoy your Thanksgiving everyone. Go Razorbacks! Beat LSU! Should be a high scoring affair. Just hope it's not LSU doing all the scoring.

i managed to survive the trek to the out-laws. i made the turkey, so no suffering through microwaved bird this year. yes, i said microwaved. my monster in law microwaves her turkey. it's a singular taste-i don't recommend it.

my pumpkin cheesecake was a hit.

Indian Charlie 11-25-2010 10:41 PM

I like pumpkin cheesecake. Alot.

Princess Doreen 11-25-2010 11:06 PM

Thanksgiving grocery shopping's a chore - always wind up forgetting something. Cooking's a chore - trying to get everything to the table at a decent temperature is a daunting task. BUT, the clean up afterwards is the unkindest cut of all.

We did have fun, however. Hope everyone else did, too.

Congrats on your culinary achievements. I knew a guy whose mom served fried bologna (with fried bologna gravy of course), and he couldn't even make it home before he gave thanks in the nearest bathroom.
