I think I want her to retire and be done at this point, Its getting to be to much.

smartbid09 11-08-2010 03:22 PM

Nobody loved Zenyatta for being undefeated. I loved her cause she's GREAT!

She will never be un-great. Her haters just hate. They hate the accolades she got. They hate the accolades she got as better than Secretariat and others. They wanted her to fail in her perfection quest.

OK. But even they have to see she is a special horse. A great horse. And let's have some more fun with her.

Why retire her. This is one of the most unique and special horses we will ever see. Why retire her.

Now that her place in history is no longer to be undefeated have that campaign we all know she should have.

Do the right thing and run her in 2011!

I can't take any more of Smooth & The Bid saying she's the GOAT.

Are there going to be Indian Tardlies with Uncle Mo?

TouchOfGrey 11-08-2010 03:26 PM

In the days leading up to the BC, Jerry Moss wouldn't commit to retiring her after the Classic. Has he publicly said anything since?

More like Uncle Mo-Mo's.

It started after his champagne win.

There is a difference though. In his first three races, he's done less ducking than Z has in her entire career.

smartbid09 11-08-2010 03:28 PM

I've heard some rumors from insiders.

What username do they go by?

tector 11-08-2010 03:30 PM

I have to say that plastic track in Dubai with that long stretch (over 1300 feet) might just be picture-perfect for her. It is not the craziest idea I've ever heard. She is obviously in fine form as of now, assuming she bounces back alright from a very tough race. Give her a breather until Feb. and then a prep race. If she comes out of that fine....

Kurt Hoover at Hollywood Park told me right before the BC they were talking about keeping her racing.

If thats true, she did nothing to make them think she needs to be retired.
I would go....

Prep-World Cup-Whitney-JCGC-BC Classic

smartbid09 11-08-2010 03:35 PM

Talked with Kurt like 1 hour after BCC.

I'm buddies with Jon White too. I'm excited to hear if he's heard anything.

I don't think objecting to her being called better than Secretariat makes you a hater. I think it makes you a realist and someone with a brain. Saying the bolded over and over again doesn't make it any truer and doesn't make being this much of a Zenyatta shill any more virtuous.

Dahoss 11-08-2010 03:35 PM

Oh my god

It's kinda like calling Mike Lombardi an NFL insider.

smartbid09 11-08-2010 03:40 PM

Zenyatta is not better than Secretariat! I never thought she was. Any real fan of racing knows she's not. My point was that people hated that she was considered that great - which I don't - to the point that they called her a terrible horse. She's not. I'm a Zenyatta fan who is a realist. I see her for what she is. It's a shame that the Zenyattards don't understand racing.

No, you made that up. Show me one person who called her a terrible horse. Otherwise I'm going to have to ask that you retract that statement.

smartbid09 11-08-2010 03:51 PM

Zenyatta is one of the Greatest of all time. And IMO she is the greatest female racehorse ever to step foot on the track. She shouldn't be retired and that's that. Unless she's not moving forward I would love to see one of the greatest run again next year.

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been following the sport?

As a fan do you want her to retire or comeback?

I want that statement retracted before I go any further. Unless he/she can produce a quote of someone saying she's a terrible horse.

As a fan of horse racing I want her back if they will take some chances... **** even if its the Gold Cup and Pacific Classic at home for her. I dont want her back running the same 2 campaigns from 2009 and 2010.
