I'm very surprised that Biondetti's first preference is for the Juvenile and not the Juvy Turf.

tjfla 10-27-2010 09:34 AM

Steve,Get Stormy is in the Mile not Get Serious

I also got a question? In the Classic,Crown of Thorns and Dakota Phone are both entered in the field(as a 2nd choice) does this mean if they want in they are in?

Biondetti and Rogue Romance 1st choice is the Dirt but both made it into the Turf as well

Gio Ponti 1st choice is the Classic with Morning Line 1st Pref and PP 2nd Pref

tjfla 10-27-2010 09:34 AM

Here is the thing from the BC site

Biondetti was selected into the J/Turf field. He can run in there if Godolphin wants.

Steve, thanks! I edited my post because I got clarification from the BC site.

I hope he runs in the turf - Unlike with Theyskens' Theory, who is completely bred for the dirt, Biondetti is a 1/2 to a bunch of graded stakes winners on turf.

tjfla 10-27-2010 10:10 AM

So what are they doing with Gran Estreno?? I mean Pleasant Prince:D Is Ramsey paying to run him or did they just pre enter him to say that he was pre entered then he will withdraw before Nov 2?

All the talk about Goldikova being challenged, not by this field, I don't see how she loses

The only way I see her losing would be if Sidneys Candy gets early lead w/ soft fractions then pulls away second half of race and holds her off.

But I agree w/ you on her not losing.

slotdirt 10-27-2010 10:58 AM

You don't think Paco Boy has at least a chance? There are quite a few Euros out there that still think he's better than her in a sort of Affirmed/Alydar kind of way.

Every horse has a chance but if goldikova runs her race, I believe she wins. Also doesn't Paco Boy want longer dist.? I don't know much about him, but thought I read he likes running longer, not sure though.

Paco Boy (who prefers shorter in Europe) has beaten her and Proviso is a beast. It's better than the bunch she faced last year. Euros often get longer distances in the US because the courses are flatter and they usually get Lasix.

Indian Charlie 10-27-2010 11:40 AM

I think there are a few in here that can beat Goldikova.

Saturday now fully correct with un-selected horses listed in preference order and revised race order...

No Dominguez on Haynesfield? Interesting.

Paco Boy has never beaten Goldikova. He has faced her three times this year and had dead aim on her in the stretch in all 3. Even when he seems to be going better than her, she finds a little extra. At their best, he's simply not good enough to beat her. If he gets any serious action on the win-end it should be reminiscent of '88 when people starting raving about Warning as a possible upsetter of Miesque. He was up the track.

Proviso, if you want to get technical, has beaten Goldikova. She was 5th when Goldikova was only 7th in her French debut last season.

RolloTomasi 10-27-2010 12:25 PM

According to Facebook, Garrett Gomez is off Kinsale King and Martin Garcia is on.

The hype about Zenyetta is only growing- which didnt think possible and this is going to guarantee great prices on just about anyone else. I know there are some players who go by the "picking winners" mentality and that the only thing that matters is looking backwards afterwards and concluding only the winner was a good bet. But for rest of us this is shaping up as a phenomenal value proposition. Not quite once in a lifetime but just a great opportunity.

There is a perceived hype on message boards and outlandish articles written by some but I have a hunch there is a silent majority just waiting to cash in on the value of the "other three" and many of those people are going to be disappointed. There will be value outside of the top four and I'm not convinced she will be favored come post time.

Will someone tell me I'm crazy for wanting to single Here Comes Ben in the Dirt Mile?

No, but I can tell you other reasons you are crazy, if you'd like.

:)

Coach Pants 10-28-2010 09:42 AM

Any horse that can get to the winners circle 3 times in a row with Solis on board is what I consider special in this day and age. If I have to crash and burn then this is the race where I'll do so.

She'll obviously be under 3-1.

She will be under 2-1.
