He did get a bad ride last time, but overall that's not really true.

What are you trying to say? The ride was horrible, he made the lead way to early. This horse has talent.

To say it's a "giant" jockey switch is hyperbole based on one ride and your favoring of certain riders.

Who do I favor exactly?

It's hard to keep track.

Please dont make things up, I favor no jockeys or trainers. Its an instant recipe for disaster.

Leparoux

In 10 years, it is very likely we are calling Leparoux the GOAT.

I thought he moved too soon but I also thought he was supposed to win on that course. I also thought that the juice was supposed to allow him to win. Kiaran the juicer is real good at taking advantage of turf biases and, he's also real good with sprinters stretching out 1st time turf. In this, he's the John Sadler of the East Coast. Which means he's either a really good trainer or he has an edge. (Guess which is the case? :rolleyes:)

Which brings me back to the original point: why did this horse fall apart like it did in the stretch last out?

Not confused. . . just insane. . . probably still bitter about Soldat annihilating that field last week. I've really enjoyed the constant complaining from everyone over the Saratoga bias. . . and I'm kind of amazed that so many of you supposedly skilled handicappers were so incapable of adjusting. . . same thing with the juice.

I appreciate you rubbing the $19 winner in my face. Must've been huge for you, as you pretty much haven't stopped going on about it.

How exactly was anyone supposed to 'adjust'? Was it ever a case that the single speed or the 'clear' speed got the lead in any of these races? Or, rather, was it a crapshoot as to who would go and who would sit. And, of course, it also came in handy if you could 'predict' which horse would get the clear rail run through the stretch. That was easy too, for you, I suppose.

No. I didn't bother checkin and seemed to think that Kiaran was the trainer of this horse.

You're the one going on about McLaughlin stretching out a sprinter on turf when the horse in question is trained by Bill Mott and wasn't stretching out.

It wasn't that hard to figure out who had enough speed to be on or near the lead and who was an easy play against because they had no speed. . .

That wasn't enough to get you the winner in most cases. Plenty of races with any number of horses that could go to the front. And, plenty of races where horses were allowed to loaf on the front end while jocks were taking back.

And, there was also the odd race where all the speed went and the race collapsed; against the bias.

Wasn't easy at all, IMO.

This really isn't true. Yeah, it was easy to toss closers, but there were several races that appeared to be loaded with speed, then one horse, at random, would be crawling sideways on the lead. I appreciate biases as much as anybody, but this one wasn't helpful at all, it was detrimental.

Luckily you don't have to play 1x1x1 in exotics.

Of course I'll be rooting for Interpatation (oh shut up - am I his only fan? :D) but I'm playng this guy and hoping for a huge upset.

Interpatation to wait for Joe Hirsch

Interpatation was one of four horses scratched from Saturday’s Grade 2, $150,000 Bowling Green Handicap. Trainer Robert Barbara said he felt Interpatation needed more time and will point him to the $500,000 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational, a race he won last year at odds of 43-1.

Also scratched were Grand Couturier, who is being pointed to Sunday’s Northern Dancer at Woodbine, Gabriel’s Hill, and Southwest.
