Saratoga is killing me!

OK, so I'll say straight out. I'm not the best handicapper, but damn, toga is killing me this year. I can't find a winner in a one horse race.

It's so bad I bet on a horse that was scratched just to get my money back and they changed their mind and came in last.

It's so bad I bet ALL and lost in a DQ to the Emergency Van.

It really is bad.

and you?.............................

randallscott35 08-12-2010 06:02 PM

You should just follow Steve right now.

asudevil 08-12-2010 06:09 PM

If it wasn't for Bermudez lack of finish on King Andrew, Steve would have had the late Byk 4 as well.

Two words for me........VALIANT PASSION! :) :$:

Princess Doreen 08-12-2010 06:19 PM

We're a little bit ahead. We only go to the track Fri., Sat., and Sun. and don't wager any other days.

Bet what you can afford to lose and enjoy .

ateamstupid 08-12-2010 06:33 PM

I know this sounds like a copout, but I've handicapped well and bet terribly for the most part.

My Xpressbet account could have really used King Andrew winning today for a nice Double with the Angel Penna runaway winner.

i was doing bad, but hit the pick 4 with Blame last week and put me up a bunch for the meet. gave back 100 of it yesterday though. i suck at picking horses in NY, so other than the spa i stay away, but it's such a fun meet

I feel like I have been the same way. Always have the right horses, just never played out my tickets smartly.

Don't tell me you didn't spend that $100 wisely.

I had the P3 today with Interactif, oh but also on my ticket was Grand Rapport(Also in the Contest), 2 inches difference between a $38, and a $222 return! Keep fighting through Spyder, it'll turn around.

Princess Doreen 08-13-2010 06:13 PM

I had a $5 exacta on Interactif/Grand Rapport. It barely covered all the losing bets I made today. Bill lost aboutn$20. But, it was a fun day, The weather was beautiful.

It was spent in/but not restricted to, the area around caroline street.

johnny pinwheel 08-15-2010 07:26 AM

you got to play exactas here. use favorites with a horse thats an overlay...below the surface of the "vacationers" radar. yesterday, stevil, china and hammock rounded off nice exatas under the more obvious horses. i caught two of them(did not have the chalky winner over china who went off 4 to 5 in her previous races...it paid 67). another angle is horses that run well and come back. bishop of nola was a steal at 10 dollars against the lowly state breds after winning here and getting claimed. the horse won by a football field.(missed the late pic 3 because i did not use telling.) i go everyday and rarely come out behind by the end of this meet. i'm killing them this year with about 2 exactas a day. this week, last sunday and monday were my only negative days. these exactas are crazy here, even the more chalky ones pay around twenty and i've hit 50 to 100 dollar ones that were not very hard to come up with using combinations of faves and sleepers.
