What a total monster he was on this day.
A lot of things happen here....

1. Durkins call is amazing, one of his best IMO
2. Chantel, LOL what the hell is she doing? I really think she was trying to win the race.
3. Lava Man proving he was a huge POS outside of Cali

Borrego sucked just as bad, cant believe he won that race.

Borrego did not suck. His Pacific Classic win in Cali was also pretty good. This is one of the best performances I remember seeing.

It was a total illusion, just look at the chart.

That horse sucked.

Any horse that can win for Beau Greeley can't be that bad.

He would have beat any horse we have saw the last 2 years in the JCGC that day....

Ok now your pissing me off, Borrego was very good, not great. He totally FREAKED IN THIS RACE, he would have beat anyone you can name from the last 2 years on this day.

Please just do some real handicapping, get out a chart, and look at what happened with the interals of that race.......its obviously a good effort but the big move a total illusion.

That race was a clinic on how to screw up as a jockey.

Dude I have saw the chart and your a ******... Pretty simple, Sun King was on the pace he did not stop, Suave did not move from last... The only 2 horses who stopped were Lava Man because he was a total POS bottom level claimer outside of Cali, and the Rabbit. There was no real collapse here, Borrego just CRUSHED THEM.

Remember that Borrego was 7 lengths further back than the penultimate horse (and that horse was 60-1), so he was really the only horse getting full advantage of the amazing setup. Regardless, it certainly was one of the most visually stunning moves in recent memory even if it was aided.

Have you actually watched the race? Lava Man misses the break, gets rushed up by PVal 3 wide to press a pace then went out in 46 and change. Velazquez had his idiot cap on and presses the rabbit part of his entry taking out Flower Alley. Espinoza makes a premature middle move to take out Imperialism. Grand Reward gets the patented Mike Smith 5 wide middle move.

Sun King only finished 3rd because Bejarano was smart enough to take back after the 1st quarter and drafts horses on the rail. He passes the dead horses in front of him for 3rd.

Dude Lava Man could have broke on top, went 51 for the half and lost by 15, PLEASE STOP.

So you don't think the HUGE move that made Durkin cream his jeans might have been the collapse of some crazy early moves combined with a that 25 and change split to the mile? The crazy thing is he did not even have to throw a sub 24 split to make the move like another closer we all know does.

The race was nice, it looked pretty, but it was not anything special. This was backup up by how poorly he ran in his next race showing how counterfeit the "move" really was compared to what people think of the race.
