You're awfully brave playing a track where Chantal Sutherland is winning at a 19% clip.

8-1 on the 2 seems high considering how speed has held and the little amount of dirt form in the race.

Need to start timing these 9f off-the-turf races with a sundial.

Well done. Are you giving Bling Bling Queen one more chance?

the_fat_man 08-05-2010 04:04 PM

If she runs straight, I think she wins. But I'm afraid of the 1, who can wire, IMO.

I should've looked at exacta prices for the race at CRC. The 11-10 was HALF what the 11-2 was, and they were about the same odds.

I'm not saying he was going to win, and I still have NO IDEA if he can run on the turf after watching the race, but Gomez could not have given the 1 horse a worse trip if it was simply his intent to get the worst trip imaginable.

He sure as hell isn't riding well so far this meet. Not getting the same caliber of mounts either. Maybe skipping out to Monmouth for those two months bit him in the ass with NY trainers/owners.

He shied away from a couple coming in on him at the start, choked him down basically until the top of the stretch, then jogged him across the wire. Once again, I have no idea if he would have been competitive against those horses, but he never even let the horse stretch his legs.
