anyone have a translation? Did he fly in from Bermuda? |
They make Jocks take breathalizer tests? Based on suspicion or a standard practice? Was he charged with R-W-I?

Next stop Dr. Drew
|
I can't believe he ever passed one.

For purposes of comparison, motor vehicle operators in Ontario face a charge of impaired driving if they blow over .08 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. A reading between .05 and .08 results in a roadside license suspension of three to seven days. |

Hopefully he recognizes it for what it really is. He needs to face his problem again and get back on track. For purposes of the game you just don't know what his impairments are on any given day for handicapping. Hopefully he gets some help before he has a catastrophe on the track for him and/or anyone in a race with him, let alone a car with his kids in it. |

it's a standard practice |

and in denial he claims "he had a drink the night before and not on the plane ride"
|
We all laughed about his appearance on ATR a few months ago, but maybe it wasn't so funny in retrospect.
|
hell, if he was a pilot they'd have let him fly.

Desormeaux seeks counseling for alcohol
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux has begun counseling sessions to address issues involving his alcohol use. On July 1, Desormeaux failed a breathalyzer test at Woodbine, necessitating that he be taken off Hold Me Back, who won that day's $200,000 Dominion Day Handicap under jockey Tyler Pizarro. In May, Desormeaux was noticeably drunk during a radio interview a few days after the Kentucky Derby, in which he received some criticism for his ride on Paddy O'Prado, who was beaten a neck for second by Ice Box. http://www.drf.com/news/article/114943.html |
good for him to admit he does have a problem and getting help.
