Hes at 5/2 now. I say he drifts up to about 7/2 or 4/1.

Caller One showed he still has some fight in him at 9YO. He looked at Voodoo and laughed as he pull away from him. Got out in front and that tail started swishing all over the damn place....knew that Around the Cape would get him then.

So the old guy ran a nice race huh? Was he just playing on the front end and that is why he was caught?

He wasn't playing alot...but he was caught because Around the Cape is a better horse right now.

Thats a brilliant post to make after the race. As if Safsoof did much better sucking up for 3rd. Those who bet that horse to win are doing the same thing I'm doing with Voodoo- ripping up tickets.

Hey, the old man finished ahead of all of your picks... See sometimes picking with your heart pays off. If he had won, would have been better though.

I play for fun of it. Nothing wrong with that. More times than not, that is a good thing...

yeah the clue you need to get is to know when and where to gloat, this is about the third time I've seen crap like this and others have said something and you can't get it.

Buffy...its one thing to gloat in our meaningless contests, those are just fun and games....but when people are actually betting money, and then losing, the last thing they want to hear sometimes is something along the lines of what you said.

I had money on the race...I know Gander had money on the race and I am sure others in here had money on the race that didn't win....just not the type of thing people want to read or hear when they lose is all we are trying to say.

I didn't mean any harshness or meaness. I was just happy that Caller One did well. My friend use to love this horse. He was a friendly one that liked treaties. That was all. That is the only reason I was happy. Not meaning to gloat or anything. I am sorry that you guys lost money. I actually stated in my other thread about Caller One that I liked Voodoo to win and told Gander that. But that my heart was with Caller One because of the horse himself so I made him my pick of that race. I am sorry if I offended anyone. Sometimes what I type can be taken out of context or taken as not how I meant it. Honestly, if I was at the track, my bet would have been $2 to win on Voodoo and $2 to win on Caller One.

I will stay out of your conversations as I don't want to offend anyone as I like a great deal of the people on this board. I just pick horses to play at work and I am trying to get better at handicapping.

We are men and you know how we are at times. It's just statements like the one above are the last thing that we want to hear after losing money. Just trying to be helpful is all.

No I just thought ya were trying to tell me to go away. Honestly, I was just happy to see the old guy do well. He really is a sweet horse. I pet him on the nose once. :)

I am glad that you guys said something to me. I don't want to offend people. I get excited sometimes when I do well. I don't mean to upset anyone. From now on, I will post my picks and shut up. :)

Nah, I made that statement because lots of times I get picked on for going with my heart AKA Drifty, RH10, etc... That is all. I will be the first to admit, I DO IT.

Buff...no one is saying you have to shut up, just be aware that there are many, many people on this board that bet money on these races and not just pick them for fun, as you do. I am just trying to help you be more aware of the things that you say as, that is all.

I understand that hun...but you are picking for FUN. Big difference in picking and using real money.

Oh I know that. Just wanted people to know that I didn't mean any harm. Sometimes I think (and type) before I think about others. I will make a conscious effort to do that from now on.
