Haven't tried it yet, but I doubt it is working.

I just tried calling Twinspires and after selecting to bet with an operator a message was played saying, "Do to high call volume, our services are temporarily unavailable".

At least I have NYRA Rewards and Xpressbet as a backup.

dude, this is not betting on football where you get locked odds on your bets. The fcking technology is there for them to be able to handle this kind of traffic, they simply choose not to invest in it, which in turn costs them money.

If I wanted to place a wager 2 friggin' days before a race, before I knew what the track was going to play like, before i knew what the weather was going to be like, hell before I even had a chance to see the damn things react to being in the paddock in front of 150K....I'd be an effin' idiot....

The AmTote Oregon hub went out of service for intermittent periods of time on Kentucky Derby Day. The resulting equipment failures of AmTote caused TwinSpires.com, Arlington Park Race Course and Fair Grounds Race Course, along with many other tracks and ADW's customers to experience lost wagers and service issues. We regret TwinSpires.com players, along with other players throughout the country, experienced difficulty placing wagers on the Kentucky Derby and the undercard. We will post more information when we receive a full and complete accounting from AmTote of the failures that occurred today.

Sort of wish Twinspires had stayed down a little longer; would have kept me from making my usual stupid Derby bets. My group bet with another board did hit the Tri; wiser folks helped balance my ineptitude.

this is a crazy comment. So unless you bet the race 24 hours out.. when you dont know what the track conditions are like.. you are a dummb a s s? So you are supposed to count on your internet wagering platform to crash? This is ridiculous.

Yes it's happened every year and you think that they are going to invest in a HUGE server just for the last 2 hours of internet wagering.

We knew that the track was going to be off and sloppy at noon the day of the race, so why would you wait till post parade to make your wager and if you were worried about your horse washing out then that's the risk you take knowing from history that you might not get your wager in.

Really with the rain, slop and 20 horses going 1 1/4 miles for the first time where was the wagering value????????

It's silly that this would keep you from waiting to make a wager.

And yes... they should invest in a HUGE server just for the last two hours of internet wagering, because their future business depends on it. If they lost $1 million in handle on Saturday, they lost $100 million in future handle because of disgruntled customers who move their wagering elsewhere.
