Who will finish last?

This is fun.
We used to do it on DRF.

I'm udecided for the moment

Line of David

I am much more confident that Line of David will finish last that I am in any horse winning the race.

Sloppy track? I'm inclined to agree with you. I hope they scratch him if it is. No sense running him if he has already shown no tolerance for it.

Conveyance looks like a really good bet to finish last. A dead heat between Conveyance and Line of David.

slotdirt 04-29-2010 09:37 AM

Paddy O'Prado.

joeydb 04-29-2010 01:32 PM

Mission Impazible or Conveyance.

slotdirt 04-29-2010 01:34 PM

I think a better bet will be to predict the horses that will actually go on to win another race this year. Only three won again in calendar year 2009 that ran in last year's Derby. That makes 16 - including the Derby winner - who didn't see the winner's circle once last year following their Derby runs.

Based on being all over the place in training and his campaign I'd say Dublin but who knows. FF isn't a bad horse and he just didn't handle the slop and was over the top for the race last year....I want jockeys to take care of horses if they aren't getting a check so there is no shame in finishing last.

ateamstupid 04-29-2010 02:28 PM

It's hardly ever the worst horse in the race. It's usually speed that throws in the towel early, so I'll say Line of David or Conveyance.

Danzig 04-29-2010 03:32 PM

i encourage anyone with strong, or even weak, convictions to visit the contest room. the thread is 'bookend' contest, pick first and last place finishers-closest gets a prize.

There's no way in hell a dead closer like Ice Box finishes last. As far as him finishing first..

Chaaa Ching!!!

I've been going back and forth on a key horse to win.... thanks...

Actually, it's been strongly hinted that Line of David won't go over an off track and that leaves the door wide open for Conveyance to assume the title.

nomad 04-29-2010 10:16 PM

Thanks
I'll give it a shot

Buffymommy 04-29-2010 10:23 PM

Conveyance. I got him in the Derby Pool at work. Sure fire way to assure his last place finish! :)

Although I have thrown out five other horses so far with a "NAH".

he might not win. but you have been doubting this colt for months now. he will beat the real plodder dublin.

Wow. I have read everywhere on here where people say you have the worst opinion on the internet and are wrong 105% of the time. It's scary that someone could have such a bad opinion.

Who do you like in the Mayweather/Mosely fight tonight ?

Coach Pants 05-01-2010 08:34 PM

It's not coo' to rag on a pick when you don't make one. It's like getting kicked in the kneecap by Stephen Hawking.
