I Tip My Hat Off To Jim Nantz
|
Do people really believe that Tiger would change his stripes?
|
i wouldn't golf with anyone who didn't curse.
|
Jim Nantz can go f.uck himself. I'm tired of that douche doing every major sports event for CBS. He sucks and is a god-damned hypocrite.

He's a dick. I'll never forget when he almost cried on the selection show when George Mason made the tournament & ultimately made the final four.

How is this an issue with Nantz? It's his network. He should be whining about his own network's lack of action, not Tiger Wood's actions. If the network doesn't like what they are hearing, either broadcast with a delay like all of the "live" awards shows have to do or do what they do in all of the other sports, don't play the audio live. Play the audio after you've had time to review it and/or edit it. Play the sound of the club hitting the ball and shut it off until you can check it. For the people whining about being there with their kids and hearing Tiger curse, it is nonsense to think he is the only golfer on the course cursing. Also, talk to your kids, teach them the difference between good language and bad language. I'm quite sure they hear everthing Tiger says and more every single day on the playground. These parents that feel the need to write Jim Nantz and complain need to find more important things to worry about and realize that an occaisional four letter word from a golfer is not scarring their child for life. They should take their kid to an NFL game for a real eye opener. |

Not sure what I watched the other day, but love the comment. Horny guy talked about how great this woman's house is.... Her Reply: "Thanks, its from the fortunate generosity of my ex-husband, when I found him with a H-O-O-K-E-R." (kids were present) |

I guess I'm slow like everyone else :D No need to rehash everything discussed in the other Tiger thread on here. We all pretty much made our feelings known there. I do agree with Coach, Nantz is a hypocrite and is in no position to call others out for their behavior. I have zero desire to see Tiger lose the passion he displays while he plays the game. |
Tiger Woods' marriage to Elin Nordegren is over, with reports in the U.S. that the golfing superstar and his estranged wife are making the finishing touches to their divorce, The (Sydney) Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday.
Just days after Woods completed his triumphant return to golf following his cheating scandal, U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight reports Nordegren, who failed to show at his Masters comeback, is close to filing for divorce. Correspondent Kevin Frazier, who has links to Woods, said: "For weeks now there have been rumors that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren might reconcile and save their marriage. "It was believed by going to sex rehab that Tiger had done just enough to keep his family together. But sources have told me that the marriage is indeed over. "Evidence? Well, the fact that Elin was on a plane, in the air, headed to Arizona during the final round of the Masters. "Usually, with her husband in contention at his biggest tournament, she would be there waiting for him in case he won; instead she made a plan so that she would be in the air while Tiger was playing. "The couple hasn't spoken for quite some time and it is believed that all they have to do is work out a few more details on their divorce and they can sign the divorce decree and both can move on with their lives." Elin's continued anger at her husband's infidelity was also evident when Woods rented out a separate mansion for her and their children, complete with servants, at the Masters in Augusta. The marriage was all but over last November when club hostess Rachel Uchitel became the first of four alleged mistresses to come forward with claims they had sex with Woods during his marriage. The four women are former porn star Joslyn James, who claims she was his mistress for three years; former Playboy model Loredana Joli, swimsuit model Cori Rist and Uchitel. Since then a host of other women have also come out alleging they had affairs with the world's top golfer. |

No sweat on my end cause I don't have to have that conversation with my kid(s) since I have none about why that behavior is not accepted in a game where each man and woman should respect the course, their fellow players and all others around. Respect in my humble eyes FOR SURE means not cussing and acting like a child on air when things don't go right. |
This whole thing makes me laugh. Like Bigs said...you want your child to hear some real language?? Take them to an NFL game. Or, for that matter, take them to an LPGA event and let them get close enough to hear conversations and things players say after a bad shot. There are plenty of girls out there that drop the F bomb tons throughout a single round of golf. You never hear about it, because there are no mics out there to catch it. I remember years ago Curtis Strange got fined because a mic caught him cussing. If Curtis had a mic on him all the time like Tiger does, he would have been paying more out in fines than he would having been making in prize money.
If the worst thing that parents have to worry about is their kids hearing Tiger say: "Tiger, you suck" or "God D*mmit", well they must live in a bubble. Don't like the way Tiger acts on the course? YOU take up golf, play with your child and YOU show them how you think they should act while playing. |
i think the kid card gets pulled out too often. hell, you know the players are going to cuss-don't want your kid to hear it, leave him at home. or accept the fact that the same salty language they're hearing at the course is said on the school bus.

Honestly, on Sunday when Tiger was playing the front 9.. he just looked different out there, like he had other things on his mind besides golf. I know he has a lot going on but Tiger can focus unlike no other. So I thought to myself, maybe Elin said she's getting a divorce the night before. That would be good revenge for her. Dump his ass the night before Sunday at Augusta when he was in 3rd place. |
Plus the fact he most likely hasn't gotton any strange in month let alone the home cooked stuff.
Maybe too many calloses on his playing hand? And I ain't talking golf. Wait, I can see it now, Tiger, the new spokesmen for Hanes My-way Socks! Drugs? |

I'm dropping this after I say this. For numerous reasons. Curtis Strange compared to Tiger Woods is like Apples and Oranges. NFL? Come on man, its so different. Contact, emotions etc etc.. Physical. LPGA players compared to Tiger Woods is like comparing well I'm at a loss of words. I hope that parents take your advice and take their kids out and play rounds with their kids and show them how they should act while playing cause I know as well as many other folks who love and respect this game that when the camera and mic are on and your on stage its your chance. Sad day in Golf when his actions on the course are treated this way. I was raised different. Guess I'm on the outside looking in. Probably coming from the same generation who will leave ball marks on the greens, not seed their divots, talk on their cell phones on course, throw their putter when they miss etc etc etc.. Call me old school all you want but that is total BS and laughs in the face of what this sport is all about. Of all people you should know that man. |

good for you. seriously. welcome to the human race. you just need to dial the judgement back a tad. |

He said God Damn one time in four rounds and Nantz is up in arms. There are many more bigger fish to fry than that. |

Do not for a second pretend you are not a bastion of class and integrity while out on the links:) I know better. Tiger has brought many great things to the PGA tour, but class and sportsmanship are not 2 of them. |

You can throw out all the facts you want about who you have been around, worked around and who I have not but it does not diminish one thing. This game, your way of living, my little brothers way of living, my cousin's way of living, is about the people who made it possible before them and treating the game with RESPECT. Game = People, places and things. I do believe Tiger will get it right and shame on me for calling him out;) By the way man, again, Curtis Stange compared to Tiger Woods? Last point from me cause I am leaving in a few short hours for several days and will not be online - just cause you have the background in the game you do Kev does not solidify your opinion one way or the other. I honestly believe you have blinders on when it comes to Tiger Woods. Your background is the game, you make your living in it. I don't, but I look back on how I was brought up in it and the roots and seeds that were planted in my mind. Roots and seeds that centered around actions, behaviors and respect to the game. There is a difference. |

i'm going out on a crappy flat par 63 course tomorrow morning.
maybe i'll curse less knowing it's a gentleman's game. probably not though. i hate empathizing with billionaires but whatever flaws he has at least tiger woods helped make this somewhat more of an everyman's game. i'd kick in the balls any of my hacker friends that used "darn" without irony. |

I'm not saying my opinion is right, because it is just an opinion. That being said, with my background in this sport, the people I have been associated with, the things I have been privy to, I do tend to think my opinion carrys a little more weight than someone that hasn't been in those situations. It's no different than Byk, Serling, Drugs, CMOrioles, Chucks, etc..and their opinions on horse racing and the industry as a whole. Yes, it is still their opinions, but I'm willing to admit their opinions carry much more weight than mine, as I'm not privy to the situations they are. I'm not surrounded by it 24 hours a day, as they are. And yes, comparing Curtis to Tiger is very apt, considering they way I am comparing them has zero to do with their talent as a golfer. |

Heck I use to be a hothead on the course during High School and College matches. As soon as I was on my own, I've toned down my attitude as it was costing me money in the long run (replacing equipment). But I'm not in the same position as Tiger or any other professional player currently. I'm not a fan of Tiger, but I've come to appreciate his game, so just let him be. |
